Oh my gosh! We should certainly be praying for him! As much as I dislike Ted Kennedy, I wouldn’t wish cancer on my worst enemy. It is a terrible, dehumanizing disease that took the life of my grandma and uncle and has my brother-in-law in constant pain.
Kennedy is certainly going to have a battle on his hands and what a terrible time for him since he was probably enjoying his time as king maker (I don’t think anyone can doubt that his support played a big role in Obama’s success)!
Sen. Edward M. Kennedy has a malignant brain tumor. Doctors for the Massachusetts Democrat say tests conducted after Kennedy suffered a seizure this weekend show a tumor in his left parietal lobe. Preliminary results from a biopsy of the brain identified the cause of the seizure as a malignant glioma, they said.
His treatment will be decided after more tests but the usual course includes combinations of radiation and chemotherapy.
The 76-year-old senator has been hospitalized in Boston since Saturday, when he was airlifted from Cape Cod after a seizure at his home.

It doesn’t look good for him.

No, it doesn’t.

I will be praying for him too. Everytime I hear about his condition it seems to be worse than the last report.

This is bad. I started crying and I’m not even a huge fan. But I was born in 1954, so the Kennedys have been a big part of my life. As a Senator, Edward Kennedy has probably had far more effect on national policy than either JFK or RFK. May God bless him and keep him.

How sad. I will say a prayer for him.

I prayed for him today as I was driving to pick up my daughters and I also prayed for the nation because many people love and respect him and look at him as a great leader.

Definitely, he needs our prayers.
I am so proud of the reaction from the Christian blogosphere to this. Nothing but positive comments and hopes for recovery. If this had been Dick Cheney or somebody, you would hear nothing but shameful cackling and glee from the left. More evidence of how vastly superior is the Christian worldview.

ZZ, you should check out the Crunchy Con blog. He had to shut his version of this thread down because of all the cruel comments.

One bad apple out of a thousand. Still totally different than the liberal blogs would be.

As a moderate, I take offense when liberals are insulted by conservatives and when conservatives are insulted by liberals. Triumphalist and tribalist ideas are equally annoying, whoever is dispensing them, ZZ.

You know, Alicia, I think that if you could be in our shoes and see how we are denigrated you might understand why we sound that way sometimes. Now, I bet the left would say the same thing. Wait a minute…that sounds like what couples say in marriage counseling — now, there’s a weird though.

LOL, Michele. Having grown up in a fairly liberal household, and having been on the left when I was young, I tend to react more to what I see as liberal and left-wing stupidities. A little bit like a reformed smoker.
For instance, I attend a very liberal Episcopal congregation, and find myself constantly getting irritated with people who assume that being left-wing, or a Democrat, is synonymous with virtue. Of course, being a moderate, I often feel squeezed from all sides.

alicia, sounds like you and i led opposite childhoods. take your story, change liberal to conservative and that’s my story. i understand what you’re talking about.

This isn’t in reaction to the comments here, ‘though I read them all.
No, I found this linked at BHT:

My favorite prayer has always been “for those who have no one to pray for them.”
