My dear friend Michele slipped into eternity on Wednesday, February 1. She was a remarkable woman who left a legacy of faith, determination, and love. For three years she courageously battled the ovarian cancer that eventually robbed her of her life. A few days before she died, one of her docto

The rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated
My husband told me that there are rumors that I've died. I'm happy to report that I'm still very much alive. My cancer has gone to stage four but we are controlling it with chemo, the cancer numbers are currently in the normal range. I've stopped blogging to concentrate on my daughters and writing a

An update and a prayer request
Several people have asked about Michele's condition, and have promised to pray for her. On her behalf, I thank you for that. I spoke with her a little while ago, and she asked that I come here and tell you what's going on, and to ask you to pray for her. She isn't able to post here herself right

The peace that passes all understanding, pt. 1
I'm coming out of my normal hiding place to make a few comments.
The internet is a strange place. It is often a wonderful place, a helpful place, a unifying place. But it is also alienating, cold, and is the perfect medium in which to depersonalize others.

Michele, if you were married to Bill, wouldn’t you hit the bottle a bit?

The last thing this country needs is a sober President. Look what the last eight years have gotten us!

Good point, Charles.
After that, we ALL could probably use a drink.

Apparently, Hillary and McCain get along well because they took a congressional trip together to – I think it was Ajerbaijan, and McCain was surprised and impressed when he and Hillary had a drinking contest and Hilllary could keep up with him.
If memory serves, Nixon impressed the Chinese with his ability to hold his liquor as well. So none of this should really surprise anybody.
Besides, look at some of the policies and ideas coming out of Washington DC -and tell me there isn’t a lot of drinking going on all around!

With all the talk about how much the Democratic Party hates Clinton, maybe McCain should choose her as his VP. Then he could prove to the moderates and Independants that he is willing to really, really reach across the aisle. And how many Republicans would salivate at the idea that a Clinton had to report directly under a Republican, granted a moderate one?

If I were married to Bill, it wouldn’t have lasted that long. I would have been out the door after the first bimbo

I don’t think that McCain has a death wish
