One Final Word
My dear friend Michele slipped into eternity on Wednesday, February 1. She was a remarkable woman who left a legacy of faith, determination, and love. For three years she courageously battled the ovarian cancer that eventually robbed her of her life. A few days before she died, one of her docto

The rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated
My husband told me that there are rumors that I've died. I'm happy to report that I'm still very much alive. My cancer has gone to stage four but we are controlling it with chemo, the cancer numbers are currently in the normal range. I've stopped blogging to concentrate on my daughters and writing a

An update and a prayer request
Several people have asked about Michele's condition, and have promised to pray for her. On her behalf, I thank you for that. I spoke with her a little while ago, and she asked that I come here and tell you what's going on, and to ask you to pray for her. She isn't able to post here herself right

The peace that passes all understanding, pt. 1
I'm coming out of my normal hiding place to make a few comments.
The internet is a strange place. It is often a wonderful place, a helpful place, a unifying place. But it is also alienating, cold, and is the perfect medium in which to depersonalize others.
Through it, I have seen people reach out

I think we finally got the truth from the Hillary camp. That she should be the nominee but either can beat McCain. And she is threatening to appeal to the credentials committee if she doesn’t win.
I like what Jon Stewart said about Bill Clinton on Tues. “I think the real story here is he thinks his wife is winning.” in reference to Bill saying she won the popular vote.
I think you really have to spin things to get her to win the popular vote. Fortunatly her strength in the credentials committee is low its full of obama supporters. I don’t think she’ll get far if she appeals.
And according to the clintons there is a vast left wing consperacy now. So they are getting attacked by both wings now. lol.

Michele,
Looks like Clinton is a bigger hypocrit than we thought. Her campaign is trying to unseat delagates in a Texas county for holding their caucus late.

I thought this was ironic since she says the florida and michagan should be seated for violating the rules.

As a Green I am both encouraged and troubled by Clinton’s actions. Clearly Clinton is illustrating much of what is wrong in politics today, and the Democratic Party in particular, concerning the “rule” it has set up. I can see many disgruntled people walking away from a brokered convention, no matter who the nominee is, with the feeling that the party is completely disconnected from the people. That makes for a good recruiting opportunity for those of us in the Green Party.
However, I am concerned that her tactics will result in a GOP win in November by weakening the party sufficiently to short-circuit any momentum the nominee may gain from the convention. We are in a prime position to move our nation away from the ineptitude represented by modern conservatism as put forward in this administration. While the Democrats are an imperfect vehicle, they are better than the Republicans. Four more years of GOP rule under McCain might bring us to the point of a depression, especially with the prospect of a war with Iran on the GOP horizon.
While Hillary is creating fertile ground for Green recruitment efforts, she is hurting our nation, and should take a moment to stop and do the math.

“with the prospect of a war with Iran on the GOP horizon.”
What makes you think that we won’t have a war with Iran under a Democrat. If they get nukes and decide to hit Israel, do you think Obama will ignore that?

You sound more like a Democrat than a Green, don’t you guys have your own presidential candidate?
