I had wanted to visit Quebec for my 40th (and their 400th) birthday ... but I couldn't make it happen last month. :-(
Just so's you know enough French to order food and get fresh towels ... that sort of thing.

Say "Bon Jour" to Asterix for me. If you don't know Asterix, then check out his many books - they are great! He is a significant character for the French (and much of Europe), to the point that McDonalds let Ronald have a rest so Asterix et. al. could serve as spokesperson for their kids meals.

Now, everyone please take note that it's Susan that's going to Paris not me. It would take me a lot longer than 8 years to save to go to Paris :-) We are taking the cheap way out and going to Montreal (though, by the time we're done with train tickets and hotel rooms, I'm not sure it will be very cheap).
