Paint Obama as arrogant?

posted by Susan Johnson | 3:44pm Monday June 23, 2008

What a concept! Yes, the McCain campaign has been given many opportunities to paint Obama as arrogant. Let’s see if he uses any of them. Obama says he’s this different kind of politician but so far the hasn’t been anything different. Say you’re for one thing in the primary and then change your position for the general. Nothing different about that.(via)BTW, since Obama has been widely ridiculed for his presidential seal, do you think we’ll see it again?

One Final Word
My dear friend Michele slipped into eternity on Wednesday, February 1.   She was a remarkable woman who left a legacy of faith, determination, and love. For three years she courageously battled the ovarian cancer that eventually robbed her of her life.  A few days before she died, one of her docto

The rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated
My husband told me that there are rumors that I've died. I'm happy to report that I'm still very much alive. My cancer has gone to stage four but we are controlling it with chemo, the cancer numbers are currently in the normal range. I've stopped blogging to concentrate on my daughters and writing a

An update and a prayer request
Several people have asked about Michele's condition, and have promised to pray for her. On her behalf, I thank you for that. I spoke with her a little while ago, and she asked that I come here and tell you what's going on, and to ask you to pray for her. She isn't able to post here herself right

Rest in peace, Internet Monk.
A man known in the cyber world as The Internet Monk, has died. Michael Spencer lost his battle with cancer tonight. My prayers go out for his family and for all those who loved and will miss him. :(

The peace that passes all understanding, pt. 1
I'm coming out of my normal hiding place to make a few comments. The internet is a strange place. It is often a wonderful place, a helpful place, a unifying place. But it is also alienating, cold, and is the perfect medium in which to depersonalize others. Through it, I have seen people reach out

If you think the Republicans are the only ones ridiculing Obama, then you don’t know the press very well. I somehow doubt Todd is a Republican.

And one of McCain’s top advisers is saying that an attack on the US would definitely help Republicans.
This same guy notes that Bhutto’s assassination in Pakistan helped Republicans.
I guess I’ll take arrogance over blood-lust. Especially when collateral damage is required on our side to help the GOP (Grand Ole Oil Party).

The GOP has finally faced the reality that the only way they can win this election is to orchestrate a terrorist attack at a key moment prior to the election.
The only question remaining is…when?

If the Obamanites think that he is being ridiculed now, wait and see what will happen to him if he should be elected. The press will stop worshipping and show him no mercy.

Only a fool would think that Obama has had it easy in the press. And, by the way, when is the press going to start investigating all those fundraisers that McCain’s wife, Cindy, is holding in foreign nations? Can you imagine the hue and cry if Obama were off raising money in London or Australia?

The press LOVES to attack the front runner. Expect the media to continue its barrage against every little thing Obama says or does unless McCain should get the lead in the polls somehow.
Nothing ever changes, that’s the power of the press. That is why they are there, to keep us on our toes and to question everything. It is up to us as voters to weed out the trivia and search for the importance of what is really news worthy.

there’s another change that obama brings to politics – the end of politics of fear. what a bunch of psychos these republicans are. while this was a well known tactic back in 2004, it went unspoken within republican ranks, but the chutzpah of this guy, charlie black, a top mccnugget advisor … jeez.

“On the day of Bhutto’s December assassination, McCain seemed to suggest the calamity could offer him some political benefit.”

“I’m the one with the experience, the knowledge and the judgment,” he told CNN’s Dana Bash. “So perhaps it may serve to enhance those credentials.”

Arrogance is a pre-requisite for running for president. So, I assume the candidates are all arrogant. The decision then comes, what do they do with the energy their arrogance generates. It is sort of like hosting a blog. I assume all bloggers are arrogant and it is the commentators on those blogs that act as the media, chasing the blogger like hounds chasing a fox. It is only a game as long as the fox escapes!
