"I hope my father and family open their eyes to Jesus and the Kingdom of God"

Those are the words of the son of a top Hamas leader! Amazing! Talk about the power of God:

The son of one of the most popular leaders in the Hamas terrorist organization has moved to the U.S. and converted to Christianity, it has emerged.

[...]

"I know that I'm endangering my life and am even liable to lose my father, but I hope that he'll understand this and that God will give him and my family patience and willingness to open their eyes to Jesus and to Christianity. Maybe one day I'll be able to return to Palestine and to Ramallah with Jesus, in the Kingdom of God," Masab said.

Masab said he previously aided his father with Hamas activities, but he now has affection for Israel and laments Hamas.

So, here we have a solution to the Israel-Palestinian conflict in the Middle East, conversion to Christianity :-) Doesn't look like there will be peace if Hamas has it's way:
"You Jews should be aware: You will never, but never have peace with Hamas. Islam, as the ideology that guides them, will not allow them to achieve a peace agreement with the Jews. They believe that tradition says that the Prophet Muhammed fought against the Jews and that therefore they must continue to fight them to the death."
Those of you who fault Israel for not working toward peace might want to heed the words of a man who was part of Hamas.

Taliban warn that "every woman not wearing Hijab would be disfigured with acid"

They are still trying to impose their brand of Islam on the nation:

Tehreek-e-Islami Taliban Pakistan (TITP) has distributed a fifteen-days notice to several "un-Islamic" businesses in Kot Addu to shut down or face dire consequences.

The TTIP wrote threatening letters to owners of CDs shops, Internet cafes and cable service providers urging them to close down their activities.

Similarly, the group warned that women must wear hijab to ensure their safety.

[...]

Acid: The second paragraph said that within five days of the receipt of the letter, every woman not wearing Hijab would be disfigured with acid.

Very soon we would cleanse earth from the traitors of Allah, the third paragraph said.

While we're praying for the Iranian Christians, we should pray for the women in Afghanistan as well, they are a particular target of the Taliban. Pray that the Lord will protect them and that any attempts to disfigure the women will lead to the arrest of Taliban members.

16 Muslim converts to Christianity arrested in Iran

Iran is looking to institute the death penalty again those who have converted to another religion in compliance with Muhammad's command to kill Muslims who discard their religion. The Christians were arrested at a baptism in a private home that had been converted to a church and if the law is passed, they will face the death penalty for their conversion:

Sixteen Iranians who converted from Islam to Christianity were arrested on Tuesday in Malakshahr, on the outskirts of the central Iranian city of Isfahan.

The six women, eight men and two adolescents who were arrested were assisting in a conversion ceremony and baptism of three new members of the church at a private house that had been transformed into an evangelical church.

[...]

A few months ago, the government presented a bill which is currently being discussed in parliament, to include in the penal code the crime of "Ertedad" which is the act of abandoning the Muslim faith.

If the parliament does approve the law, the punishment for abandoning Islam will be the death penalty.

Please join me in praying for the Muslims in Iran who convert to Christianity. Please pray for their safety and that they remain undetected. Pray that these people will not be put to death because they believe in Jesus Christ. And for their safety while in prison.

Obama's calling McCain racist again

Not very post-racial of him but then we all knew that was crap when we found out what kind of church he went to:

"John McCain right now, he's spending an awful lot of time talking about me," Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., said today in Rolla, Mo. "You notice that? I haven't seen an ad yet where he talks about what he's gonna do. And the reason is because those folks know they don't have any good answers, they know they've had their turn over the last eight years and made a mess of things. They know that you're not real happy with them."

Obama continued: "And so the only way they figure they're going to win this election is if they make you scared of me. So what they're saying is, 'Well, we know we're not very good but you can't risk electing Obama. You know, he's new, he's... doesn't look like the other presidents on the currency, you know, he's got a, he's got a funny name.'
[...]

"But, since they don't have any new ideas the only strategy they've got in this election is to try to scare you about me. They're going to try to say that I'm a risky guy, they're going to try to say, 'Well, you know, he's got a funny name and he doesn't look like all the presidents on the dollar bills and the five dollar bills and, and they're going to send out nasty emails.

"And, you know, the latest one they've got me in an ad with Paris Hilton," Obama said, referring to a McCain campaign ad launched today. "You know, never met the woman. But, but, you know, what they're gonna try to argue is that somehow I'm too risky."

This is the reaction to McCain's calling him inexperienced and a media darling? Where has McCain ever mentioned that Obama's name is funny? Obama's charges are ridiculous and everyone knows it.This kind of thing isn't going to work, he needs to figure out a response to the attack, not whine about it. And anyone who has been paying attention knows that McCain has been doing ads that focus on his own record and what he plans to do when he gets in office.

BTW, I think its telling that he keeps bringing up the name issue even though he's the only one doing it. It seems he's got some issues with his own name. Smells like childhood angst to me.

Another BTW, this is absolutely ridiculous and typical of lefty bloggers:

"I note with interest today, John McCain's new tactic of associating Barack Obama with oversexed and/or promiscuous young white women," writes liberal blogger Josh Marshall. "Presumably, a la Harold Ford 2006, this will be one of those strategies that will be a matter of deep dispute during the campaign and later treated as transparent and obvious once the campaign is concluded."

Continues Marshall: "the McCain campaign is now pushing the caricature of Obama as a uppity young black man whose presumptuousness is displayed not only in taking on airs above his station but also in a taste for young white women."

It's clear from the ad that the celebrity of Obama is being compared to Spears and Hilton. Heck! Even Obama's compared himself to Hilton:
"Andy Warhol said we all get our 15 minutes of fame. I've already had an hour and a half. I mean, I'm so overexposed, I'm making Paris Hilton look like a recluse."
