Ludacris’ new Obama song

posted by Susan Johnson | 12:31pm Wednesday July 30, 2008

He calls Clinton a “b–”- and says “McCain don’t belong in any chair unless he’s paralyzed.” Nice. This from one of Obama’s favorite rappers. You can listen to it yourself here.
BTW, he sounds as overly confident of Obama’s success as the subject of his song does:

“All you other politicians tryin’ to hate on my man/ Watch us win majority vote in every state of my man/ You can’t stop what’s ’bout to happen/ We ’bout to make history, the first black president is destined and it’s meant to be.”

Now, Michelle, there you go again. What Obama said after meeting with the ludicrous Ludacris in his Chicago office was “it was like meeting with a relative.” I don’t know how you feel about your relatives, but if Obama feels about his relatives the way I do, Ludacris isn’t his favorite anything.
But I believe the prediction in the rap very much remains to be seen.

“Ludiculous” said, ” So get off your @ss, black people, it’s time to get out and vote! Paint the White House black “.
Are you waiting for the Axis Media to tell you that you should be outraged? They won’t. Have you really become so mired in your ignorance and brainwashed by cultural PCism and the acceptance of double standards and hypocrisy as to not understand the message of hate, racism and the attempted furtherance by “Ludiculous” and The Obamanation, of continued bitterness toward long past historical offenses that is obviously still the modus operandi of black Democrats even to this moment? Did you not hear The Obamantion lament, again, the long past offenses, dragging history and not the future into his rhetoric and the vision of change he promises? Did you not hear The Obamanation’s sentiments expressed toward REPARATIONS?
He is getting brave and taking the risk of letting you see the real him. Why? He is arrogant and his arrogance will make him show you his hand before the game is over. And it is obvious that black Democrats, whether political or social in noteriety, are just as arrogant. “Ludiculous” wouldn’t have made such a video if he didn’t feel safe in doing so. He knows he will be shielded by the Axis Media and from minimal condemnation by The Obamanation. He knows too, that most blacks supporting The Obamanation feel this way. Is this what you want? Is this what you want to unleash? Really?
Are you listening? Does someone have to smack you upside the head and spell it out any clearer than this?
Play time is up. Every single one of you that reject The Obamanation for one reason or another NOW must put aside YOUR differences and start to examine just what kind of person The Obamanation is and those that support him are. Their threat to this nation’s civility, prosperity and safety cannot be allowed to go any further than now. Those of you who are Libertarians, Republicans and Conservative Democrats, whether white, black, or brown, must unite against this true threat to our nation.
If you want this kind of man with these kinds of followers into the highest office of the nation, then keep fighting among yourself. We now face a threat bigger than our disagreements regarding McCain as the nomination and who will be his VP. It’s your choice.

Oh, brother…..for a Bush supporter to prate on about arrogance is really the Everest of chutzpah.
The American public has been getting smacked upside the head for years now, and it is because of the policies of loser- boy Bush. The worst president in any of our lifetimes.
I wonder why nobody here blogged about the record deficits. $480 billion, and with the cost of the war, which was left out, more like $600 billion. So much for the ‘tax cuts’. We’ll be paying interest on that debt, probably for the rest of our lives. I don’t know if we can afford any more ‘favors’ from the GOP.
That’s just one matter of policy; there are many more. If you vote to continue with the failed policies of Bush with McLame, you’ll get what you voted for.

Is your reference to “McLame” a crude allusion to the injuries the man suffered as a prisoner of war at the hands of the Vietcog?
Your use of the word “McLame” and the comment by Ludacris that “McCain don’t belong in any chair unless he’s paralyzed” belong in the same category: sick and twisted.
If anything, all this serves as a window into the left-wing hate machine and the whirlwind we reap as a nation if we elect the left’s poster boy in November.

The fact that sen. Obama likes this man’s music is not suprising. Both of them are low class people appealing to the low class instincts in humanity. Unfortunately Sen. Obama is not only low class but also a parvenu, the worst kind of combination. The type of combination that will have the nerve to tell other people to learn a foreign language, when he himself speaks none, and I persume even his daughters are not bilingual, which they should be by now – they are old enough. I speak several languages, but would never tell another person he should be ashamed he cannot speak another language. Only a low class parvenu would do that. The high class person Conolezz Rice, speaks five, including Russian. She never hectors other people about their linguistic ignorance.

He doesn’t condemn Ludiculous, he condemns THE LYRICS. GET IT? Do you need another smack upside the head? While condemning the lyrics, Obama takes time to praise Ludiculous’ TALENT. Unfreakingbelievable!
So in a context that warrants CONDEMNATION and cannot afford nor warrants any subscription to praise because the offense is so great, what does THE OBAMANATION DO? He praises Ludiculous and ONLY condemns…THE LYRICS!

Obama is somehow responsible for this. But Bush isn’t responsible , to hear them talk , for anything that’s happened on his watch as president.
McCain isn’t responsible for anything he’s done, like adultery, flip-flopping on most major issues, not
knowing about the economy , the war, or anything else.
It’s the only way the right can pretend to have any record or win an argument. They just hold everybody else to a different standard. When the press doesn’t go along with the double standard, they cry bias . Nice work if you can get it.

“‘Ludiculous’ said, ‘ So get off your @ss, black people, it’s time to get out and vote! Paint the White House black ‘. Are you waiting for the Axis Media to tell you that you should be outraged?”
you’re only outraged if your a racist and fear having a black man in the white house. the first statement is a call to get blacks out to vote… everyone should vote, so there’s nothing wrong with that (except that republicans would soundly lose if that were to happen, and there’s nothing wrong with that, either). the second statement is only talking about putting a black man in the white house.

I only fear having a RACIST MAN like the OBAMANATION in the White House. The Obamanation was mentored, without complaint, by a RACIST for 20 years. The Obamanation enjoys the CULTURE of RACISM and HATRED toward non-blacks and particularly WHITES demonstrated by his 20 years of indoctrination, without protest, by RACIST Rev. J. Wright. And THE OBAMANATION USES the language of a RACIST (typical white person). I know of no one expressing the fear a black man in office (Republicans have appointed blacks, nominated blacks and helped gets blacks elected to high offices so this GOP fear of blacks fails on all points), just a RACIST like THE OBAMANATION, a GREEN HORN like THE OBAMANATION and a MARXIST like THE OBAMANATION.
The truth is, THE OBAMANATION and his core supporters are being exposed for what they are and it’s NOT their color but their IDEOLOGY OF HATE, RACISM, and MARXISM which is being rejected. YOU crybaby LEFTY LIBS simply can’t take it and have only one desperate move remaining, a HAIL MARY pass filled with rants of, “they don’t like Obama ‘cuz he black”. Although I definitely disagree with the derogatory words used by Ludacris and think this rap in poor taste if you truly understand how your actions effect any and everything Obama is attempting to accomplish, the thing that makes me most upset is that each and everything that a person who supports Obama does is immediately linked directly to Obama as if he told Ludacris to write a rap for him, listened to the lyrics prior to Luda putting the rap on Youtube and directly indorsed them. Hello, this never happened, and the mere fact that he met with Luda in ’06 for a specific purpose and listens to his music on his iPod does not mean that he supports this “Politics” rap in any way. Furthermore, Ludacris proclaimed HIMSELF Obama’s favorite rapper . . . no one except Obama himself knows the true reason that Luda is on his iPod. The simple fact that candidates running for Miss America study and know each and every facet that they can about current events in order to be able to ask one question during the question and answer portion of the competition; do you really believe that a man running for President should not conduct the same sort of research, especially for one of the largest, lucrative, up and coming career fields and people that effect one of the largest genres on earth . . . music. Come on people . . . whether research simply or a personal like, there is NO WAY Obama would or did directly endorse this type of act . . . stop trying to act as if he did. Then, if you are going to call him on the carpet- call your other candidate on the carpet for truly devalued morals like adultery . . . Come on now. . . But, then again, there’s that ugly double standard that will forever ruin this country!!

Obama actually denounced Ludacris’ song and disassociated himself with it, and he condemned the way Luda insulted McCain, Hillary, and Dubya.
(To be perfectly honest, it is irritating to have so many Obama supporters lump Hillary together with Dubya and McCain, as Hillary and Obama’s platforms are darn near identical, but that’s another topic).
Guy Arther Thomas, why are you denouncing “foul, hate-filled rap songs” proferred by many of today’s rap artists when there is no text more foul or hate-filled than the Bible? It is honestly amazing to me when conservative Christians constantly decry how vulgar modern movies, music, and literature are, when the Bible itself has more sex, violence, and vulgarity than the vast majority of rap albums. Read Ezekiel 23:20 (which describes in very explicit and salty detail just how big the Egyptian men’s private parts are) if you don’t believe me, as well as the many places where God orders the Israelites to commit genocide against other nations. Note that I am not calling for censorship of the Bible, I am merely suggesting that Christian conservatives ought to take a look at their own holy text before decrying the violence and vulgarity found in other forms of media.

Ok, so let’s hold McCain to the same standard. He’s responsible for what Hagee and Parsley said. After all, he sought out their endorsement.
And all the right wing talk show nuts, Hannity,O’Reilly, Levin, McCain must now be held accountable for what they say. All of it.
And let’s not forget the things that McCain has done himself. His leaving his wife for a younger, wealthy woman. The numerous affairs, which are common knowledge. The Keating Five. The violations of the campaign finance laws he helped to write.
That’s just for starters.
Now. Do you really want this standard??

Amen to the last poster.
Guy Arthur Thomas, must you mindlessly insult anybody who disagrees with you? If you are a true Christian, shouldn’t you be speaking the truth in love to “lost souls” instead of angrily hurling insults at them?
Note, I was not defending Ludacris and his brethren in hip-hop. I was merely saying that the Bible contains as much (if not more) sex, violence, and debauchery than any rap album by Ludacris. It seems that you are counter-arguing that the Bible is not condoning or promoting such instances of violence and debauchery in its pages, but rather recording historical events. But in many of the wars the ancient Israelites/Hebrews/Jews fought in the Torah/OT, the Bible did not merely record them. It specifically says that God COMMANDED them to wipe out surrounding nations, sparing nobody, not man, woman, child, elderly, or disabled. God even commanded that all the animals (horses, goats, donkeys, sheep) in these surrounding nations be killed.
I believe that I have asked you a legitimate question, and ask you to answer me in a respectful manner, rather than resorting to childish and reactionary insults and loaded language, which unfortunately seems to be your trademark.

Also, I have heard Christians and Jews explain that Ezekiel 23, with its lurid descriptions of Hebrew women lusting after men from other nations, is basically a metaphor for Israel and Judah turning away from God and His law and embracing the ways of the surrounding pagan nations. But did the author of Ezekiel really have to describe the size of Egyptian mens’ private parts in order to make his point?

Marcus,
Though I agree with you (and Ludacris) that Obama would make a far better president than McCain and Bush is a flat out horrible commander-in-chief, I think that Ludacris’ lyrics were totally disrespectful and inappropriate. Not only does he insult people of the opposite side of the political aisle (Bush and McCain), but he also insults people who SUPPORT Obama, i.e. Hillary Clinton (who he calls a “dog”) and Jesse Jackson. The song reeks of blatant sexism and misogyny, as well as disrespect toward the elderly. Honestly, with friends like Luda, does Obama really need enemies? Ludacris does certainly have a First Amendment right to record whatever song lyrics he wants (no matter how moronic), but I have a First Amendment right to call bullshit on him, which is exactly what I am doing.
And this whole thing shouldn’t even be an issue. I mean, who really cares what some rapper says about the presidential candidates when we are at war in the Middle East, our economy is in dire straits, and we are facing an energy crisis?

First of all, who really cares what some rapper says about the presidential candidates when we are at war in the Middle East, our economy is in dire straits, and we are facing an energy crisis?
And also, does anyone remember the 2004 election? A number of entertainers came out in support of George W. Bush. The singer Kid Rock (whose vulgar and obscene songs could give Ludacris a serious run for his money, as most of Kid’s songs are him bragging about how many women he has had sex with) publicly endorsed Bush, yet conservatives weren’t screaming for Dubya to publicly denounce Rock. Double standard, anyone?
