One Final Word
My dear friend Michele slipped into eternity on Wednesday, February 1. She was a remarkable woman who left a legacy of faith, determination, and love. For three years she courageously battled the ovarian cancer that eventually robbed her of her life. A few days before she died, one of her docto

The rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated
My husband told me that there are rumors that I've died. I'm happy to report that I'm still very much alive. My cancer has gone to stage four but we are controlling it with chemo, the cancer numbers are currently in the normal range. I've stopped blogging to concentrate on my daughters and writing a

An update and a prayer request
Several people have asked about Michele's condition, and have promised to pray for her. On her behalf, I thank you for that. I spoke with her a little while ago, and she asked that I come here and tell you what's going on, and to ask you to pray for her. She isn't able to post here herself right

The peace that passes all understanding, pt. 1
I'm coming out of my normal hiding place to make a few comments.

i admire that ability, too. and i’ve seen it before. it’s a maturity and a respect for others while being able to disagree that is uncommon in politics today. this is why i believe that obama will work with republicans on many domestic issues. that’s my hope anyway. to be fair, i honestly believe that mccain has the same qualities, but in lesser quantity, and he’s hampered by his short temper.

“this is why i believe that obama will work with republicans on many domestic issues”
Only if they move to the left. He won’t need too many of them since the Democrats should be pretty close to 60 Senators (maybe 54-55).
McCain has the ability to move left to attract Democrats, he’ll be able to work with Congress.

Yep. Every Republican Obama worked with has done so because the Republican moved to the left, and every time McCain worked with a Democrat, its because he moved to the Left…
No perception issue there. Nope, not a one.
You do know that Obama has been on bipartisan bills, as just about any Senator is.. and that McCain has voted with the president literally 90 percent of the time, right?
Odd view, especially since you JUST posted an article about Obama’s right movement and ‘flip flops’ toward centrist and more conservative positions.
So, which is it? Is he flip flopping toward the right, or a hardcore leftist incapable of compromise with the other side of the aisle?
