One Final Word
My dear friend Michele slipped into eternity on Wednesday, February 1. She was a remarkable woman who left a legacy of faith, determination, and love. For three years she courageously battled the ovarian cancer that eventually robbed her of her life. A few days before she died, one of her docto

The rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated
My husband told me that there are rumors that I've died. I'm happy to report that I'm still very much alive. My cancer has gone to stage four but we are controlling it with chemo, the cancer numbers are currently in the normal range. I've stopped blogging to concentrate on my daughters and writing a

An update and a prayer request
Several people have asked about Michele's condition, and have promised to pray for her. On her behalf, I thank you for that. I spoke with her a little while ago, and she asked that I come here and tell you what's going on, and to ask you to pray for her. She isn't able to post here herself right

Rest in peace, Internet Monk.
A man known in the cyber world as The Internet Monk, has died. Michael Spencer lost his battle with cancer tonight.
My prayers go out for his family and for all those who loved and will miss him. :(

The peace that passes all understanding, pt. 1
I'm coming out of my normal hiding place to make a few comments.
The internet is a strange place. It is often a wonderful place, a helpful place, a unifying place. But it is also alienating, cold, and is the perfect medium in which to depersonalize others.
Through it, I have seen people reach out

CAMP OBAMANATION is doomed. His rejection of Hillary will miff certain Hillary supporters. They are either or types. They don’t have the capacity to compromise. There is not one DEMOCRAT out there that will add any additional credibility to CAMP OBAMANATION.

Personally, I think Bayh would be a better choice than Tim Kaine. I don’t feel that Kaine has been in national politics long enough so he has some of the same problems Obama has with the charge that he is too new. Bayh is also young and has an attractive young family, just like Obama, but he is also the son of an old Senate warhorse. It’s passing the torch to a new generation.
Biden’s mouth is too big. I think he will be seen as a potential liability.
My prediction is Obama-Bayh vs. McCain-Romney.

Bayh is a good choice but I’m still rooting for Sebelius.
As for Guy’s coment that nobody will help Obama, think again. Any of these four choises will bring in mor vote for Obama than Slick Mitt will hepl McLame.

Bayh would be a smarter choice than either Kaine or Sebelius. Obama needs some “heft” to round-out his own meager credentials and Bayh provides that (served as Governor before coming to the Senate; and, he’s the son of Birch Bayh, which would appeal to some of the older, working-class voters, etc.). Also, Bayh speaks carefully and has been around long enough to know how NOT to put his foot in his mouth. His prominence in the Clinton campaign would please a lot of those folks.
Kaine or Sebelius are not ready for prime-time and their relative lack of experience would underscore Obama’s thin resume. Besides, how well vetted are they, compared with Bayh?
As or McCain, I wouldn’d be so sure that he will pick any of the conventional choices being touted (e.g., Romney, Pawlenty). In his case, I would look for something a bit more of the box than what we can expect from Obama.

I don’t read into this any foretelling of Bayh as the VP nominee. It could just be that Chan, the domain name owner, is a Bayh backer. I agree Bayh might help Obama in Indiana, and as close as elections have been this century, that might be enough to swing the election. But beyond Indiana, I don’t see it.
Personally, I’m for an Obama-Schwarzenegger ticket, but that ain’t happenin’ neither.
