McCain's new ad features a Hillary supporter who was kicked out of the Wisconsin delegation when she let it be known she was supporting McCain.

And since more Hillary supporters are supporting McCain, this is pretty good timing. Just in time for the convention where they might be reminded of what they lost (though, Hillary could give a great speech in support of Obama and turn them around).

Sixty-six percent of Clinton supporters, registered Democrats who want Clinton as the nominee, are now backing Obama. That's down from 75 percent in the end of June. Twenty-seven percent of them now say they'll support McCain, up from 16 percent in late June.
Update: Here's an interesting example of potential McCain supporters at the convention:
"He added further salt into the wound by not picking her as VP," she said. "I think that is a slap in the face to Hillary supporters, and all women should realize what he just did. He ran on change and to get rid of old Washington, and he chooses someone who voted exactly like Hillary on the Iraq War, his big issue.

"He's an old white man from Washington with years and years and years of Washington experience. How is that change? How is that going to win Hillary supporters? It just made me even more mad."

As I spoke to Kiblen, a man walked by and asked her if she wanted a "John McCain for President" button. She accepted it, and immediately affixed it to her "Hillary" t-shirt. "That's who I'm going to vote for," she told me.

MANY DEMOCRATS I spoke to told me that Clinton supporters will ultimately decide that Obama agrees with them on most issues, including abortion, health care, and the Iraq War and get behind the ticket in November.

Kiblen told me that argument didn't matter to her, because she was voting for McCain merely as a protest vote. "It isn't about Hillary anymore," she said. "It's about sexism and the way they treated her." She also noted that Obama was "tanking in the polls" and she complained about his big ego.

Hillary better give a really compelling speech because it doesn't look like her supporters are getting over her defeat.

Updated again: Looks like I might be updating this all day :-) This ad is video is so funny, I had to add it:

"McCain's new ad features a Hillary supporter who was kicked out of the Wisconsin delegation when she let it be known she was supporting McCain."

did mccain run a new ad starring jan ting, the republican delaware senate candidate who was kicked out of the state gop committee for supporting obama? hm. maybe that wouldn't be such a good idea. yes, he should definitely avoid that one.

oh, and kiblan?

"She was dining with a fellow disgruntled Clinton supporter from North Carolina, who she met while registering at the convention offices of P.U.M.A."

the puma group is a known trojan horse backing mccain. any woman who truly supported clinton for her policies would find it nearly impossible to pull the lever for mccain.

mccain is off the mark on this one. the pull of clinton supporters over to mccain's column was due to his lies about taxes and energy policy and painting obama as the celebrity elitist (still amazes me that republicans can put it on tv and people believe it, when actually the opposite is true - they really are the masters of deceit!). and still, mccain can't seem to break out in the polls.

Once again, the Repubs can't run on policy. They can't run on their record.

Have we heard one McLame ad stating what he's for? Oh, yes, we have, and it was so funny they pulled it right away. He claimed he would stand up to lobbyists and big oil.

And he expected us not to giggle. What does he think we are, the DC press corps?

So he runs this lame BS about how Hillary supporters are going to vote for McLame.
Sure they will- the same ones who were in 'operation chaos'.

Their motto , from Mark Twain.

"Ain't we got all the fools in town on our side? And Ain't that a big enough majority in any town?"
