One Final Word
My dear friend Michele slipped into eternity on Wednesday, February 1. She was a remarkable woman who left a legacy of faith, determination, and love. For three years she courageously battled the ovarian cancer that eventually robbed her of her life. A few days before she died, one of her docto

The rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated
My husband told me that there are rumors that I've died. I'm happy to report that I'm still very much alive. My cancer has gone to stage four but we are controlling it with chemo, the cancer numbers are currently in the normal range. I've stopped blogging to concentrate on my daughters and writing a

An update and a prayer request
Several people have asked about Michele's condition, and have promised to pray for her. On her behalf, I thank you for that. I spoke with her a little while ago, and she asked that I come here and tell you what's going on, and to ask you to pray for her. She isn't able to post here herself right

Rest in peace, Internet Monk.
A man known in the cyber world as The Internet Monk, has died. Michael Spencer lost his battle with cancer tonight.
My prayers go out for his family and for all those who loved and will miss him. :(

The peace that passes all understanding, pt. 1
I'm coming out of my normal hiding place to make a few comments.
The internet is a strange place. It is often a wonderful place, a helpful place, a unifying place. But it is also alienating, cold, and is the perfect medium in which to depersonalize others.
Through it, I have seen people reach out

The fact that it is NEWS when one Hillary supporter who clearly has some sort of personal animus against Obama comes out in support of McCain says everything we need to know about the “tsunami” of Democratic women predicted to cross over to the party that discovered its “inner feminist” roughly three minutes ago.
Women know that Sarah Palin–against birth control even for married couples; in favor of worse-than-useless abstinence-only sex ed; in favor of forcing women to carry to term the child of their abusive father or rapist; in favor of making rape victims pay for their own exams and rape kits; willing to sacrifice the safety of women and children by scuttling domestic violence legislation in order to carry out a personal vendetta–does not deserve the support of ANY woman who cares about herself or her sisters or her daughters.
If that weren’t enough, she’s completely unqualified, as her “beauty pageant contestant” answers in the Charles Gibson interview demonstrated to all the world. She’s very personable (although she also seems like the kind of person who would stab you in the front) and I might be persuaded to buy Avon products from her–but I’ll fight tooth and nail against her taking office alongside her dishonorable and dishonest political sugar daddy John McCain.

ummmm…someone named “Lynn Forester de Rothschild” is calling another human being “elitist?” Married to an international investment banker–who probably bears his share of the Wall St meltdown? What sort of alternate universe are we living in?

Oh NO! I can see it now–The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Wall Street!
The McCain campaign has gone from the Presidency to a conspiracy theory. Next he’s going to get the endorsement of the Illuminati!
No, wait, he already has the endorsement of the Illuminati, we voted that last meeting.

Sarah Palin’s Reading List, by Robert Kennedy Jr.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com
“Fascist writer Westbrook Pegler, an avowed racist who Sarah Palin approvingly quoted in her acceptance speech for the moral superiority of small town values, expressed his fervent hope about my father, Robert F. Kennedy, as he contemplated his own run for the presidency in 1965, that `some white patriot of the Southern tier will spatter his spoonful of brains in public premises before the snow flies.’
“It might be worth asking Governor Palin for a tally of the other favorites from her reading list.”
This is the sort of vitriol Palin drinks for breakfast. And Christians embrace her? For shame.

If Lynn Forester de Rothschild believed in Hillary Clinton’s stance on issues, she would never inflict McCain/Palin on the American people.
So she does not personally like Obama, but why is she voting for McCain? How come no one ever talks about specific issues to support McCain.
I did not like Hillary Clinton as a person; however, I would have voted for her because of the issues and to protect the world from a scary warmonger that only cares about the wealthy.

Forester de Rothschild was very up front about her support for Hillary–she was seeking the candidate who would do the most for (unbridled, unimagineable, countless, yea verily lots and lots of) wealth creation. Forester de Rothschild is a long-time friend and admirer of Fox mogul Rupert Murdoch. So this defection only means there’s more money for the rich, or at least those making more than $5,000,000 a year, on the McCain side of the fence. A Democrat or a democrat she never was.

Did you happen to catch her interview on CNN? Where she said that the right to abortion was enshrined in the US Constitution and no Republican would be able to take it away?
