One Final Word
My dear friend Michele slipped into eternity on Wednesday, February 1. She was a remarkable woman who left a legacy of faith, determination, and love. For three years she courageously battled the ovarian cancer that eventually robbed her of her life. A few days before she died, one of her docto

The rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated
My husband told me that there are rumors that I've died. I'm happy to report that I'm still very much alive. My cancer has gone to stage four but we are controlling it with chemo, the cancer numbers are currently in the normal range. I've stopped blogging to concentrate on my daughters and writing a

An update and a prayer request
Several people have asked about Michele's condition, and have promised to pray for her. On her behalf, I thank you for that. I spoke with her a little while ago, and she asked that I come here and tell you what's going on, and to ask you to pray for her. She isn't able to post here herself right

Rest in peace, Internet Monk.
A man known in the cyber world as The Internet Monk, has died. Michael Spencer lost his battle with cancer tonight.

The peace that passes all understanding, pt. 1
I'm coming out of my normal hiding place to make a few comments.
The internet is a strange place. It is often a wonderful place, a helpful place, a unifying place. But it is also alienating, cold, and is the perfect medium in which to depersonalize others.
Through it, I have seen people reach out

Maybe she knows that all she has to do is show up and not drool
And speaking in tongues might be a bad plan…
Seriously…I think this video might be one of the first times I’ve seen her wearing slacks.
It will be an interesting evening. Of course, it’s pretty predictable that all the liberals will stand by Biden and say he won and all the conservatives will stand by Palin and say she won.
Just look at the records. Vote you conscience.

Actually, Michele, the bar is low enough that she could drool and still win. About the only things she has to do is keep her clothes on and remain upright. If she can manage that it will be a win for her.

I hope so…because if Biden thinks he has to keep up…that would also be a bad plan.

If Biden is the best and brightest they’ve got, we are in deep trouble.
Of course if she can persuade that crazy African Bishop that Obama practices witchcraft…

ew, and ew. i have no desire to see biden in anything less than full dress, and the thought of a naked palin is just as bad. (she’s had 5 kids don’t ya know).
plus, i think i agree with michele on this one. as long as palin doesn’t speak, she has a real shot at winning the debate.

Y’all, I just hate to be the one who breaks this to you, but there’s not a thing Mrs. Palin can do to save McCain’s nasty old prevaricatin’ hide from the lickin’ he has coming to him.
How can Yelladawg be so sure, you ask? Here’s how:
Obama is ahead in North Carolina.
North Carolina, my friends, has not voted for a Democrat for president since 1976.
Do y’all hear that rumble comin’ from way over yonder? I do declare, sounds an awful lot like a landslide to me.

and they are tied in florida and obama is within 2 points in ohio. obama leads in colorado and has dominated the electoral map.

That would be nice … those stolen elections don’t set well with me.

nor do the “gimmies” where supreme court justices are put in the position of paying back the party that put them on the bench.
new statistics in tonight!
real clear politics has obama ahead nationally by 4.8 points (48.8 to 44.0). here’s where he stands in the battleground states:
Battlegrounds Leader RCP Average
Florida McCain +0.3
Ohio McCain +0.6
Michigan Obama +6.6
Virginia Obama +3.0
Minnesota Obama +2.8
Colorado Obama +5.0
Iowa Obama +9.2
Nevada McCain +1.7
New Mexico Obama +5.5
New Hampshire Obama +1.3
florida and ohio are very, very close. and the beauty is that obama doesn’t really need them to win. but every red state to turn purple is already a change for the better.
intrade quotes obama at 64.4 to mccain’s 34.0.
again, according to rcp, mccain is viewed favorably by 51.0, unfavorably by 39.0 for a spread of +12.0. obama is viewed favorably by 54.0, unfavorably by 35.9 for a spread of +18.1.

Can someone give her an IQ test ? It seems that because she is so ill informed, and educated that she has to talk “street talk” to make herself look good…she acts like a high school gang member. You can put 500.00 glasses and an expensive suit on her but inside is still trash.
