Biden releases a campaign ad for his Senate race

posted by Susan Johnson | 11:25am Saturday October 25, 2008

What does he know that we don’t know? If the race is over, why bother?Yeah, I know, “just in case.” BTW, I think it’s creepy that Biden knows what the conversations are at the kitchen tables in Delaware. Funny that none of the conversations is about how high their taxes are or why the heck is the government spending so much money, don’t they know that will lead us into inflation.

One Final Word
My dear friend Michele slipped into eternity on Wednesday, February 1.   She was a remarkable woman who left a legacy of faith, determination, and love. For three years she courageously battled the ovarian cancer that eventually robbed her of her life.  A few days before she died, one of her docto

The rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated
My husband told me that there are rumors that I've died. I'm happy to report that I'm still very much alive. My cancer has gone to stage four but we are controlling it with chemo, the cancer numbers are currently in the normal range. I've stopped blogging to concentrate on my daughters and writing a

An update and a prayer request
Several people have asked about Michele's condition, and have promised to pray for her. On her behalf, I thank you for that. I spoke with her a little while ago, and she asked that I come here and tell you what's going on, and to ask you to pray for her. She isn't able to post here herself right

Rest in peace, Internet Monk.
A man known in the cyber world as The Internet Monk, has died. Michael Spencer lost his battle with cancer tonight. My prayers go out for his family and for all those who loved and will miss him. :(

The peace that passes all understanding, pt. 1
I'm coming out of my normal hiding place to make a few comments. The internet is a strange place. It is often a wonderful place, a helpful place, a unifying place. But it is also alienating, cold, and is the perfect medium in which to depersonalize others. Through it, I have seen people reach out

Inflation is irrelevant to those who have no money. Taxes are not high to those who have no income or property to tax. I don’t think Biden is all-knowing and all-seeing into the kitchens of Delaware, but he’s probably not that far off.

There are very few people who have “no money”. I believe that if Obama raises taxes on small business (and large businesses) that those businesses will raise their prices to compensate, thus lowering my buying power – and the buying power of those who have less than I do.
My taxes go down, my prices go up – for the middle class, it’s a wash.

Again, how is a post like this relevant? If I wanted unoriginal political commentary I can turn on fox news.
Yesterday someone proposed that those among us who are so disgusted with the fact that a blog like this is hosted by beliefnet despite a complete lack of theological/religious content should contact people from beliefnet and let them know how we feel. If they want a female or reformed perspective, there are many better and more fair-minded ones out there than Michele. Either the editors of beliefnet are not aware of the content of this blog or their standards have gotten very low.
It appears, though, that Michele has deleted these posts from the comments section of the blog even though they in no way violate Beliefnet’s rules of content. So, in light of that, here again is the contact information which is all public available:
For the pr staff:
pr@beliefnetstaff.com
rebecca.freed@morris-king.com
caren.browning@morris-king.com
And for Steven Waldman, Beliefnet’s editor in chief:
Sdwaldman@beliefnetstaff.com

Hey Mark, did you know that Beliefnet has a category for blogs that is titled “politics”?
That’s what this blog is listed under.
If it’s so disturbing, don’t read. It’s why I stay away from a couple of leftist blogs.

MarkH, Michelle has a legitimate point of view. Think of her blog as a way to keep up with the people you really don’t want to have over for cocktails.

Where’s the reformed perspective?
It doesn’t exist in Michele’s posts. She never points to it, never mentions it, never gives any context for how any of her mindless postings fit into the Reformed tradition. You’re just supposed to take her word for it because it’s in the blog title.
Oh, and she’s supposedly a seminarian but never mentions theology, or the faith that she’s supposedly studying at all.
The only things presented in this pathetic excuse for a blog are Republican talking points. There’s no mention of the Reformed perspective at all. Pointing to the side links is meaningless if the blogger herself never integrates the Reformed tradition into her posts.

Oh and since your LEFTY LIB mentality decides to YOU there isn’t a Reformed perspective…then it must not exist since YOU decided so…hahahahahahaha! No one is listening to your whiny cries to silence the blog…they are laughing at you and your paranoia.

Big Guy, the more you hold down that shift key, the more I am impressed by your insight. Another ‘HAHA’ might have actually swayed my vote to the RIGHTY CON column. You’re really knockin’ ‘em down today!
P.S. This blog gets more pathetic by the day. What an utterly weak, pointless attack on a positive ad… for the VP candidate. Pass me the popcorn.

why would we leave? this carnival freak show is too fun to watch. it’s a sick sort of pleasure that we get watching fascist neocons in total meltdown mode that all they can do is focus their hatred and attack absolutely everything.
