Larry Flynt's makes Sarah Palin porn film

Saturday October 4, 2008

*Sigh* This is the response of the left to a strong, capable woman who happens to be attractive, reduce her to an object that can be manipulated. Typical! The Hustler founder has made an X-rated movie using an adult-film actress...

It's more likely a matter of unbelievers targeting believers.

Mark Driscoll (Seattle) told recently of Seattle's annual "humpfest". Amateur porn films, all shown in one theater...and in order to qualify the film has to include the annual "mascot" (for lack of a better term) that proves the film was made for that year's event. This year...the qualifier is Mars Hill Church and Mark Driscoll. So, this growing church (with many children attending) is finding people trying to have intercourse in their bathrooms and elsewhere on their property.

More job cuts loom as economy slows
Tech and and auto industries lead the number of planned layoffs according to a monthly survey.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- The number of job cuts announced in September rose as the economy slowed, according to a report released Wednesday.

Positions on the cutting board rose 7.2% to 95,094 from 88,736 the previous month, and were 33% higher than the same month last year, when 71,739 cuts were announced, according to outplacement consultancy Challenger, Gray & Christmas, Inc.

September brought the announced layoff total for the third quarter to 287,142 - the largest number since 2005, according to the report.

Are you trying to demonstrate some kind of solidarity with Palin and the rest of the grammatically impaired?

Palin's tax returns show that she failed to pay taxes on income she received from the state in the form of per diem payments. So that makes her a tax evader as well as a subpoena refuser. We don't need another dishonest person who believes he/she is above the law leading our country. That lack of character and arrogant attitude is precisely what has led to the disaster we are now paying for in Iraq and on Wall Street.

"Republican state legislators, at the behest of the McCain campaign, have now filed an emergency appeal with the Alaska Supreme Court trying to shutdown the 'Troopergate' investigation. The plaintiffs (echoing the Bush v. Gore decision) claim `the plaintiffs and Alaskans will suffer irreparable harm' if the Branchflower report is released, as scheduled, next Friday, October 10th.

"Bear in mind, the people in charge of the investigation moved the release date up so as not to have it released on the eve of the election. That was the original schedule long before Palin was chosen as veep nominee. And the GOP lawyers the McCain campaign sent to Alaska have succeeded in having almost all the parties connected to Palin refuse to cooperate with the investigation. So it's not completely clear just what Branchflower is going to be able to come up with, either inculpating or exculpating.

"But this is an opportunity to refocus our attention on something that has been lost in the nonstop coverage of Palin's campaign trail lies and botched interviews: her record in Alaska strongly suggests she lacks the character to be trusted with high office. Though the troopergate scandal is tied narrowly to Palin's firing of Alaska's top cop, Walt Monegan, the heart of the story is about a private vendetta that Palin tried to settle using her new powers as the chief executive of the state of Alaska. Thwarted in doing so, all evidence suggests she fired the public official who refused to execute her plan.

"Nor is it the only example. Both as mayor and governor, Palin has shown the tell-tale signs of a politician who hires cronies and fires or blackballs critics. This part of Palin's record gets deep in the weeds. So it's not as flashy as the boffo interviews or and irresistible as the straight-up lies she's been caught in. But we need no closer example than the Bush administration to know that people like this are dangerous and corrosive to our public institutions."

MzEllen, I think you have the same form of impairment as Michele.

"Larry Flynt's" is the possessive. As in "Larry Flynt's wheelchair" or "Larry Flynt's obscenity conviction" or "Larry Flynt's porn empire."

If Michele meant to say that Larry Flynt made or is making a porn film, she should have said: "Larry Flynt Makes Palin Porn Film" (using the noraml journalistic convention of putting headlines in the present tense) or, more awkwardly, "Larry Flynt's Making Palin Porn," i.e., "Larry Flynt IS Making Palin Porn."

As written, her headline makes no sense and neither does "Hewitt's Defends Palin."

I hope Michele's academic papers aren't riddled with such errors. She'll never make it through grad school that way. Unless of course Westminster Theological has set the bar as low as the one set for Palin before the debate.

If we're going to talk about porn, how about the conservative porn written by Rich Lowry over at the National Review when he described his reaction to Sarah Palin winking?

"I'm sure I'm not the only male in America who, when Palin dropped her first wink, sat up a little straighter on the couch and said, "Hey, I think she just winked at me." And her smile. By the end, when she clearly knew she was doing well, it was so sparkling it was almost mesmerizing. It sent little starbursts through the screen and ricocheting around the living rooms of America. This is a quality that can't be learned; it's either something you have or you don't, and man, she's got it."

http://corner.nationalreview.com/post/?q=NDYzMGFiNjQ0MWRjNmI0ZTlkYjgwZTExMjA3MWNiZTk=

The man practically admitted he got aroused by her winking at the camera. I guess he'll be the first one in line when Larry Flynt's film gets released.

It's business, the consensus is Sarah Palin is good-looking - and her looks have been the butt of a few jokes. It's going to sell - that's the idea. Now, Obama has been lampooned in other ways too.

MzEllen, rather than admit you are wrong about what, according to you, is a trivial matter, you prefer to attack me for pointing it out.

I believe that whenever a person writes anything for an audience (in this case a national and international one), the writer owes readers the MINIMAL courtesy of making sure the writing is free of mechanical and grammatical errors (never mind being coherent, smart, thoughtful, fair, interesting, honest, informative or entertaining). Not to do this very small thing says in effect, "I don't care enough about my work or my readers to make that effort. I can't be bothered." It also conveys a certain slovenly attitude and lack of precision which extends, in Michele's case, to much of her actual content.

Clearly, your standards and Michele's are lower than mine. Can we agree on that?

Seems to me Republicans support socialism as long as it benefits the wealthiest 1%. As for the rest of us . . . it's bootstraps, baby, bootstraps!

By the way, remember the quotation Palin used at the end of her debate on Thursday, the one from Ronald Reagan that warns "you and I are going to spend our sunset years telling our children, and our children's children, what it once was like in America when men were free"?

Turns out that the threat to our liberties he was so worried about wasn't Communism, wasn't an erosion of civil liberties, wasn't the U.S. making preemptive war a centerpiece of its foreign policy, wasn't the U.S. violating the Geneva Conventions. The TERRIBLE TERRIBLE THREAT? Take a wild guess, I dare you.

Medicare.

For more on Reagan's fight against Medicare see http://www.larrydewitt.net/Essays/Reagan.htm

"Reminder: We Republicans are the party against Medicare.

"There seem to be some real paleoconservatives in the Sarah Palin speechwriting shop. This is so much a reminder of her convention speech. The point that everyone seems to avoid is that Palin is a vice presidential candidate. And pornography is about the reduction of ALL women to non-human animal status for the pleasure of men.

"Free speech" stops being free when it creates harm. Treating any woman like that is bad enough, treating all women as if we can be silenced by threats of sexual intimidation if we aren't "good little sardinesuckers for the patriarchy" is even worse, but to treat a vice presidential candidate in this way is over-the-top pure hatred of females and no excuse.

I am deeply profoundly insulted on Palin's behalf, but dear freaking god am I sick to freaking death of men on account of my own. They are worthless cretins who enjoy causing pain to females, so let's get rid of them and be done with it.

This is sexism, but those nice liberal men from the "social justice" party are too busy screaming about non-existent racism to notice.

I seriously doubt this porn flick will do anything other than cause a few smiles and a few frowns, and damn near everybody will vote the same way as if this porn flick was never filmed.

I suspect that Flynt et al agree with that, are comfortable with it, and are much more interested in the controversy, infamy, fun, and profit which will likely come their way in creating this film.

I think the only folks who will see this as an attempt to undermine a strong woman's attempt to gain power are mostly young women who feel they've been wronged by a man, men, or their society in general, and project that onto situations which bear little resemblance to the true source of their feelings.

But, you and your readers strike me as the sorts who don't seriously listen to opinions which differ with your own, so I'll just leave it at that and go watch some free homemade porn so that I can undermine womens' political power and support the blah blah blah blah blah blah blah.

Sarah Palin’s Starbucks visit also created quite a stir. Starbuck’s Quote #287: “There is a special place in hell for women who don’t help other women,” first appeared on coffee cups during Hillary Clinton's bid for the presidency, about a year ago. The message was rather clear: nominate Hillary, or suffer eternal damnation. For Starbuck's to make it public, it must have had some redeeming social value. But speaking of old news did you know, Madeleine K. Albright, the quote’s originator, may or may not even believe in hell? According to my sketchy knowledge of theology, hell is a tenet of the Christian religion.

Only Christian women who failed to vote for Hillary will be thrown into the pit? Madam Albright is a convert to the Episcopal Church. But believe you me, even though the church is a Christian denomination, certainly no real Episcopalian believes he or she shall be consigned to that place, much less a special place where the wicked are punished for declining to vote for Hillary. According to Ms. Albright, "Though I am flattered that Governor Palin has chosen to cite me as a source of wisdom, what I said had nothing to do with politics.” Were Madeleine to be believed, it’s just something she bellowed from a motel room window that was miraculously transcribed onto a paper cup. Honestly, to hear her tell it you’d think the woman had been chained to an oar, instead of a Macy’s card: http://theseedsof9-11.com

This won't really affect voting one way or another. Although there's no justification for it, given how ridiculously under-qualified she is for the position (degree in journalism/Mayor. governor of a VERY small human population) how can you really be surprised? If Barack Obama didn't have a degree from Columbia and a JD from freaking Harvard he wouldn't even be in the race. (and largely that's how it should be... obviously Bush got in Harvard on his family name and not any real measure of intellectual performance and we can see how that's turned out.)

Clearly there's a double standard, if Obama had the same background as Palin, as an African-American male instead of an attractive White woman the perception of him wold be completely different.

Yeah, I am RIGHT NOW watching the Independent Film Channel's showing of "Larry Flynt: The Right to Be Left Alone."
I would have to say that you OUGHT to watch it.
Larry Flynt is a better American than the people writing their blogs about why Freedom of Speech sucks.
It is great that at least someone more mainstream is criticizing the hell out of Sarah Palin in times like this where the articles in Time, Newsweek and the pieces on FOX News Channel kiss her ass and find the truth about her by asking her what the truth is.

She hangs out all kinds of psycho-pigs and anti-government militia men like a man named "Black Hawk" Steve and more. Those things like "her beauty and her looks" that you are angry at FLYNT FOR USING are what even FOX NEWS and TIME Magazine USE AS THEIR TALKING BOYS!
I was reading the Letters to the Editor in Time Magazine and all that the readers really talked about was (roughly paraphrased) "beautiful and strong she looked" on the cover.
Larry uses her beauty in a different way.
I think the message speaks volumes: If we are only going to focus on a woman's looks (just like Fox News does using highly attractive females) to sell a view, why can't FLYNT?

I wanna see it too. I will definitely watch it.
Better than watching O'Reilly.
