The MSM did a great job of dumbing down the electorate.

To the point these don't know Reid, Pelosi, Frank beyond name?

This video proves too much. These folks aren't watching MSM News ... or any news.

That's funny. How many people who voted for Bush still believe Iraq is linked to Al Queda? At least these people aren't as dumb as working Republicans who still vote against their economic interests because they buy false republican lines about socialism is without even understanding what socialism is? By the way, this was the biggest election difference in 20 years. Get used to it losers... you lost.

How Obama got elected was the failure of the Bush Administration.

People are sick and tired of the camouflaged racism and supremacy as depicted in the video.

The republican agenda has sent job overseas where the rich are just getting richer.

Somebody has got to look out for the middle class and the republicans were not doing that.

I do not care about who controls the Congress and Senate. I know George Bush was the president and he messed up the country.

Dan

To those who say we lost and get over it, I will. The question is when Obama voters realize who they elected, will they.

November 17, 2008 10:08 PM

It's funny how when Republicans won the election you all cried "No fair! We aren't smart enough to pull a lever, but our vote should still count." Now, MATT, your response is we won 'you lost get over it losers' What are you 8?
And the population of the nation is up, but intellect and reasoning is down, people don't have time to make there own opinions, they borrow them (as you have) from the News media, who wanted Obama. But when you are trowing around words like dumb and losers unless referring to yourself, you might NOT want to put a statement like... "At least these people aren't as dumb as working Republicans who still vote against their economic interests because they buy false republican lines about socialism is without even understanding what socialism is?" That is a statement, not a question, whose the dumb one... let me guess you voted Obama?

My first reaction was, they obviously don't read a thing that is relevant regarding current events. How could they seriously not know who Barney Frank, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid are??? You have got to be kidding. They have NEVER heard of them! No wonder the organized crime throughout the American Congress continues unabated!

You know I never though I would cease the day where I could honestly say I'm dissapointed with over half of America. This election was a big deal and people clearly didn't treat it like it. Does anybody know what kind of shape were in right now? But yet were all going to rush to put someone who has no business in the White House right on in. Perhaps if people would have taken the time to actually check things out and responsibly thought things over we would have had the right outcome, but we'll learn. Things will do down soon.

I want to be misinformed and I want to say in 1 year or 2, boy look at where our country is, good think that Obama was elected. Demos just want to say "HA HA we won" or as in prior elections "Boo Hoo we lost" No individual party wins or loses, we are 1 country (plug your ears demos) UNDER GOD, we succeed together and fail together so if Obama is a wonderful president, we all win, if not.....

This video is great! And Reggie - wake up and get a job! Maybe if u were better educated and understood that Congress and Senate definitely does matter, Obama might not have been elected?? Clinton's presidency stunk his 1st 2 years? WHY? Because Dems controlled both pres. and senate. When did the presidency shape up? When repubs ruled senate. Shipping jobs over seas happens because of overpaid, middleclass union workers. Why should I buy an American car that won't even last until 100k miles or have a good warranty?? The auto industry has already gotten money and look at where they are again?? Same place. Shipping jobs overseas happens because corporate taxes in the USA are the 2nd highest in this country. Don't you people understand that high corporate taxes matter?? Why worry so much about the middleclass (BTW, I am a part of that) when those making over 250k pay more in taxes then we do and aren't any part of any stimulus package? Maybe the middle class should get off the butts and stop thinking that the government should take care of them. This country was NOT built on hand outs. That is what is wrong, so many people think the government owes them. They don't. I am a democrat who supported Obama in the primaries and went against my beliefs because I thought McCain would do a better job PERIOD! I hope that Obama does a good job for our country and I will stand behind my president. Like one person said, if Obama fails, we all do. Unlike you Dems that just jumped on the popular vote ship, I am glad I didn't and made an informed decision. You Obama supporters scare me. Not that it matters, but I am a minority.

I think what everyone is missing here is that we all lose when the media takes sides (left or right). The media should be unbiased and simply inform the public. This is part of our check and balance system. If part of our system is broke or corrupt, the rest of the system starts to break down. I fear this is only the begining - where this ends is unclear.

Whether you supported McCain or Obama, you should demand from your media an unbias and complete reporting of our political system and our culture. If you don't, you are only contributing to the problem. Good luck to us all and dare I say God Bless America.

Socialists mainly share the belief that capitalism unfairly concentrates power and wealth among a small segment of society that controls capital and creates an unequal society. All socialists advocate the creation of an egalitarian society, in which wealth and power are distributed more evenly, although there is considerable disagreement among socialists over how, and to what extent this could be achieved.[1] taken from wikipedia.

Don't you remember Obama saying out on the campain trail - spread the wealth?? Maybe you should look up definitions. You would fit very nicely into this video. Better go pick up a dictionary.

A Republican whining about a dumbed down electorate? LOL! What a joke.

Without the idiot vote, the GOP wouldn't have won the White House these past eight years. You've got the ignorant to thank for Bush serving as president these past eight years, and it was the ignorant that made up a large part of McCain's base this time around, courtesy of their love for Sarah Palin, don'tcha know.

Just look at the exit polls. The GOP lost the educated, people under 65, and minority voters by substantial margins in this election. Focusing this video on a few uninformed voters to try and prove a point is hilarious. It really is.

This is *such* a stupid canard. It really is.

There wasn't a single terrorist attack on American soil for the remainder of Clinton's terms in office after the first WTC attack. And there wasn't a single attack on American soil at all from the time WW2 ended and the first WTC attack, either.

Oh, and Bush ignored the warnings about 9/11, BTW, so giving him credit for there not being a SECOND attack is stupid. It's like giving him credit for not screwing up any hurricane responses since Katrina. Had he bothered paying attention to the warnings of the first 9/11 attack, and had he acted on those warnings, we probably wouldn't be in Iraq now.

And Bush voters are trying to call others ignorant? LOL! This is just hilarious.

Minnie - If you took the time to read the poll, you would see that they interviewed 512 people - not just the ones on this video. While 512 people is a small margin of people, this is what republicans new all along. If Obama had been on the board with an abortion clinic bomber, you can better believe that the media would most certainly cover that. What about Ayers? What about Khaladi? What about rev wright? What about Ayers? What about Khaladi? What about rev wright?

I didn't care one whit. They were irrelevant, IMO. All the things Ayers did happened before I was even born. Khaladi was a non-story and a bunch of Arab/Muslim fearmongering from the Republicans, and Wright sounded no different than Pat Robertson, John Hagee, and Jerry Falwell to my ears.

The only reason the Republicans turned any of those men into stories in this election is because they didn't have Hillary Clinton to run against. They couldn't remind this country about Whitewater, Monica, stained blue dresses, Paula Jones and Vince Foster, and they couldn't use the right's Clinton hate to motivate the base to vote for McCain.

And so what if the sample this poll used was 512 people? I could interview a different set of 512 people and get different results. That's how statistics works. Big deal.

This is just more GOP sour grapes. Why not let Obama actually take office first before deciding he's the doom of us all? Sheesh.

Minnie - 9/11 happened because after USS Cole was bombed under Clinton, he did nothing. He did nothing after the first Towers attack.

Katrina happened because the people were too stupid to get out of its way. People are so poor in New Orleans - where was the governor of Louisiana and mayor to get the people out before the storm?? If people had listened to the advice of getting out of Katrina's way, nothing like this would have ever happened. Go ahead and blame Bush... the mayor was at fault here.

Your Name

Ayers does matter, that is where you are wrong minnie... he doesn't regret his bombing of the capital, NYC police, etc. He even admitted it on GMA. If he had remorse and Obama was with him, that is entirely different.

Why would someone support someone saying GD america? Even if I didn't believe in a god, that is awful to say. I don't hear those preachers you mentioned damning my country... do you?

Minnie
November 17, 2008 11:49 PM

Oh, please. As if the Republicans took bin Laden or Al Qaeda seriously when Clinton was in office. I remember them saying that Clinton was focusing on terrorism and Al Qaeda as a way to distract people from Whitewater and Monica. I'm not the only one who remembers either:

http://glenngreenwald.blogspot.com/2005/11/reminder-of-gop-attacks-on-clintons.html

For the Republicans to now say Clinton didn't do enough is hilarious and hypocritical. They criticized him for focusing too much on Osama bin Laden back then because he wasn't talking about blue dresses, cigars, and sex in the Oval Office like they wanted him to.

As for Katrina, I blame everyone in elected office who had the power to intervene to get folks out, or who could have done more at the time. That includes Bush.

Minnie
November 17, 2008 11:59 PM

Oh please. Ayers was and is irrelevant. All that nonsense happened 40+ years ago, and I'm only 35. Don't care about it. Never will. America needs to get over the Vietnam War finally. Those battles, including the one over Ayers, only matter to folks who were old enough back then to care. I wasn't around then, so I don't care.

And what Wright said was no different than this, which is what Robertson and Falwell said in the immediate aftermath of 9/11:

http://www.snopes.com/rumors/falwell.asp

-----

JERRY FALWELL: And, I know that I'll hear from them for this. But, throwing God out successfully with the help of the federal court system, throwing God out of the public square, out of the schools. The abortionists have got to bear some burden for this because God will not be mocked. And when we destroy 40 million little innocent babies, we make God mad. I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People For the American Way - all of them who have tried to secularize America - I point the finger in their face and say "you helped this happen."

PAT ROBERTSON: Well, I totally concur, and the problem is we have adopted that agenda at the highest levels of our government. And so we're responsible as a free society for what the top people do. And, the top people, of course, is the court system.

-----

That's pretty much saying GD America, but not in so many words. Wright just said it out loud. Ergo, what he said sounded no differnt to me than what Falwell and Robertson said here.

Minnie

I have to say, the way the media has played this election, you would think that Obama won by a landslide, 5 points (actual vote) is not a landslide. I would like to say, when Bush was elected I did not see anyone from the left say we will support him even if he is the president. I would like to wish Obama good luck in attempting to repair this country. We definately need change, especially to our government. Oh, this just gets better. Nate Silver over at the ridiculously accurate site FiveThirtyEight.com (so accurate, in fact, that he correctly predicted the vote percentages that McCain and Obama would get within .1%) has posted about this particular website and video:

http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/2008/11/zogby-engages-in-apparent-push-polling.html

For the uninformed, this is what push-polling is:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Push_poll

It's the same tactic used when McCain was smeared with allegations of an illegitimate black child back in 2000. No surprise that conservatives would rely on push polling again, this time to discredit Obama voters, and you idiots all fell for it, hook, line, and sinker.

Had a final recount been allowed, a different result may have come of it.

My admittedly vitriolic response is due to the constant hate spewing and misinformation that conservatives thrive on. Look no further than this documentary. If my comment was like that of an 8 year old, this doc is surely like that of a 3 year old. Name me what is constructive about?

I noticed that you did not answer my questions. Let me reiterate. Do you still believe Iraq is responsible for 9/11? Do you still believe there are WMDS? Do you still believe global warming is a myth? Do you still believe the Earth is 5000 years old? Do you still believe eight years of no government oversight had nothing to do with out economic situation. By the way, to the person who talked about terrorism. There has been way more terrorism against the US and its Allies over the Bush years than Clinton years. And 9/11 could have been prevented, but Bush was to busy doing the opposite of everything Clinton did.

This video would have been a lot more credible if it had not been biased so you see you are no different than the MSM you so eagerly condemn. As usual, you are hypocrits which is nothing new. Get over it, you lost in a big way. The American people sent a message, your way is the wrong way and we are tired of you self pontificating right wingers spewing your stupidity around the nation. There were 68mm who voted for President Barack Obama - go out and widen your perspective.

This video/interview is so unreal. how can some one be informed when he/she does not know of Bill Ayers which which sarah Palin best line during the campaign. How come the informed voters didnt know of Biden,s "mark my word" which made head lines for mcain and the media. The "informed" voters have also forgotten about "Joe the Plumber" right? who came to the media thur Obama's spread the wealth speech.
Please you guys should quit the hypocrism. find some else to do. Obama has been ordained by Got to one e President even before he was born and nothing can change it not even you guys.

Sarah Palin would have been treated better if she had evidenced having even half a brain and/or could complete a sentence without tacking "even" on the end or implying that when Putin reared his head she would be there to see it.

She's stupid. People saw that. End of story.

You have just proven HOW Obama got elected by this website. There are bombings in Gaza, the economy is shot and many persons are losing their jobs. Yet, you want to focus on stupid issues. THAT is how Obama got elected...because we are tired of the dumb stuff.

By the way, I could have answered ALL of your questions plus a few that you probably don't know.

The most massive campaign war chest contributions from who-knows-where bought a lot of 30 second sound bites and provided a major incentive to the pre-disposed media who followed that money. Those sound bites, semi-literate rock and screen stars and MTV made up the “carefully considered” opinions of our electorate. The Obama t-shirts on the Chicago Police mug shots are indicative of the cult phenomenon of this election.

Those that voted in Obama will see what "change" is in store. So far he is showing he is a puppet, played skiifully by those with POWERFUL monies to back him. So for those who voted for skin color instead of issues, don't come crying when there is another 9-11 and you are taxed to death to support all the illegals in this country. We wonder WHY states like California are BROKE! We have a country full of stupid people who don't even take the time to discover the issues and make informed choices but vote for someone because he is black, white, handsome, rich, poor, etc. It is absolutely no wonder we are in the shape we are in. "Stupid Issues by Your Name" just shows there goes another one. You can't tell me if someone bombed your house injuring a loved one you would not attempt to stop them from shooting another one at you ...but you want Israel to. Gawds almightly, go to Palestine and join the destroyers, IDIOT!
This election was controlled by big money and the media and dummies!

It seems to me Palin is a sore loser. Palin can blame Obama ,Katy and Tina but the finger points to her. Tina Frey only repeated words Palin said and Katy ask political questions Palin should have known. It really is funny because if Palin hates the media so much she sure is using it to get attention. Palin was surrounded 24 hours a day with attention while she was campaigning and now she simply misses all that attention. Some will side with Palin and ofcourse Fox News Network will!

Voters are ill informed, the media spins everything, but is this "documentary" any different? You can't take anything at face value anymore. There is bias and/or ulterior motives for any information presented by any media source. The only way people can truly make decidions for themselves is to spend a great deal of time doing research using multiple sources. Frankly, who in this complacent society do you really think is going to put forth that effort. Talk about puppets?! WE are the puppets to the most powerful and wealthy media giants

I watched your video and I'd like to know where you got these people from. Where I live and where I was raised you would be hard pressed to find people who do not know that Democrats have run Congress since the past election that ushered Nancy Pelosi into the role of Speaker of the House. Barney Frank has been in the news quite a bit, in fact he was one of the lead spokespersons during discussion of subsidizing the auto industry. Harry Reid is the majority leader, and as such is on TV quite a bit. What would be more realistic for your video to say is that some people are uninformed not because of the media, but because the are bombarded by sound bites and most people's lives are too busy to read newspapers or watch more informative TV programs such as C-Spam, and NPR.

This guy John Ziegler (How Obama got Elected.com) has to be one of the biggest media morons amongst our twisted media establishment.
He is the pot calling the kettle black. If you review all of clips
and watch his appearance on The View, it becomes apparent that he has his own agenda. Not every American is ill-informed, though too many are. However it seems he found 12 who definitely are. (Wow, I bet that was truly difficult.)
But to the cruxt of the matter. Palin nor the media did not give Obama the election, they merely helped. The election came down to
Sen. McCain vs Obama. There were so many who could not make up there minds, given the state of our country. McCain, a man I have great admiration and respect for, is highly intelligent and a hero. Yet simultaneously here brash, hard nose, quick to anger, and verbally bumbling. Everyone who was not aware of those FACTS are aware now.

Everyone who was not aware of those FACTS are aware now.
Now given the crisis that our country (and the world) is in, it seemed to me that neither Obama nor McCain were equipted to lead us out of this mess. However when you must choose between a quick-to-anger, well respected war hero and a calm, cool-under-pressure, strategist, whom chooses his words (for the most part) carefully;
The American people chose the later. People like the idea of a hopeful America. Not the continuation of more hard-ass symantics that are spewed w/o a degree of articulation. (We have enough eneimies already), To add; (tax breaks don't feed our hungry in America, nor do you get one if you don't have a job. They don't build bridges - of any kind -they don't do much for education in any way, and the American public after every previous tax break has been spent, is back looking at their leaders asking 'what have you done for me lately')
NO John Ziegler and Rush Limbaugh, President Obama won the election at a time terrible to almost everyone, by strategizing, staying cool, (one mark of any true leader), articulating his ideas in a clear, concise manner, (even if you disagreed with them) and greatly important, giving people the open hand of hope, not the closed fist of hardness. And let's not forget one of his very important, successful firsts; reaching out to our young inattentive, frustrated young through technology....hello-o-o-o-o
The proof of it all is that a man who happens to be Black, has the middle name of Hussein, and has some Muslim roots, and has very little experience, (aside from the ability to think clearly and keep his foot out of his mouth; again for the most part),was overwhelmingly elected by the Popular American vote to be our Leader for the next four years.
Those are the REAL facts. Let's now get on with the business of doing what we all can do to make life in this country better than it was yesterday. In doing so maybe we can all benefit in some way and eventually reclaim our rightful GOD-given place as the true leader on this planet.

Re: A U.S. Army Ranger "...the media did not give Obama the election, they merely helped." Uhhh, I'm glad YOU said it--that's Ziegler's whole point! The media shouldn't HELP any candidate get elected! They're supposed to inform the public with the facts and let us make our own minds up. Whether or not Ziegler has his own opinions (isn't he allowed?) is irrelevant if he's got a valid point.
