The cap & trade system is nothing new. Neither is this interview by Obama. Neither is the desperation in the ranks of fanatic McCain followers who cannot stomach the fact that he will get his reward for having run an abysmally dirty and sleazy campaign that has nothing in common with the more honorable McCain of 2000.

The difference is the reference to bancruptcy.
In what context is a referencing to bancrupting businesses okay?

Evidently you’ve never heard the term CARBON SEQUESTRATION (a.k.a. “clean coal”).
The coal miners will be the first to tell you that if we mine and burn coal willy-nilly a la Pittsburgh in 1950 (where you couldn’t see the hand in front of your face), pollution will get us even before global warming does.
Also, coal miners don’t mine that much coal any more. Much of it is taken from strip-mining mountaintops with bulldozers. Need we guess the party affiliations of the strip-mining companies’ owners?
