Let the atheists have their say and don't violate the commandments of God by stealing their sign. If we want to practice our religion, we need to be tolerant of others doing the same thing, keeping in mind the words of Jesus:A receptionist with radio station KMPS said an unidentified man dropped off the sign and asked that it be turned over to one of the station's hosts, Icabod Caine, who had been discussing the sign on his morning talk show. Caine had criticized the sign and argued it never should have been allowed to be placed next to the Nativity scene at the capitol.

The goal is to get the nativity scene off gov property. If the courts don't enforce the separation of church and state, then Plan B is to make the government feel the pain for allowing the religious display. So, yes, it's intentionally offensive, in order to create that pain. I think we can all agree that Gov Gregoire is currently feeling the pain of national criticism.If this is true, then it demonstrates that the thief and the atheist share similar proclivities. Removing from public square the essence of who we are. We should be able to express our diversity in our shared public spaces, not expunging all references to God which this commenter demonstrates is impossible to do:The hope is that the government will realize that the best solution is to keep ALL displays off gov property.

I'm an atheist who believes that most atheists are as intolerant and repugnant as the Christians they mindlessly attack.
Who cares if their little protest sign was stolen? Who cares if a Christian sign was stolen?
Frankly I enjoy peaceful acts of protest. The sign was clearly meant to irritate Christians. Stealing the sign was clearly meant to irritate atheists. I'm very happy that anybody who finds this irritating is irritated.
HAVE FAITH- stay strong and noble to your creator- you cant understand ridiculous contradictions- what can you do as a human- speak-all animals speak- build- i see spiders build fancy webs and trap door espionage upon prey- man is made in the image of infinity YET is bound in the cousin of the monkey body to learn humility-respect-dignity-many things- for infinity is at hand- ONE step at a time for man on earth- first we crawl-then walk and talk and build utopia- one step at a time god is like electricity- you may babel the words of power all day and manipulate it- turn on the lights- play with an electric vibrator up your kazoo- BUT TRY TO UNDERSTAND ELECTRICITY_ if you do not- simple 100 volts will kill you-will harm you- you must learn- you must have knowledge- and here it is- man was put upon this planet in only our creator knows- but all man feels inside we are far greater than our animal ways to each other- but why are we animals to each other- go live one day in nature- feel the cold- feel the hunger after only several hours- life is a struggle and man shall dominate the earth- have faith you may live after death- YOU who are afraid of simple viruses the size of the common cold- YOU made of virus like structure of DNA- infinity is at hand- one step at a time- we honor and love the Christ as our duty on earth- or fight like savages-dog eat dog- he who dies with the most toys wins-better me than you- OR focus on the sick and poor- life is a struggle- god gives life- as your heart beats love life and have respect- our duty continues until THY WILL BE DONE ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN PERIOD AMEN --
ENERGY IS THE KEY TO CIVILIZATION- dont believe me- go live just one day in the woods- the valuable resource is getting dry as india and china want to live a little like the west-cant blame them- who i do blame is being on this net for so long as everyone uses their own arrogance and negativity to ignore solutions for energy- how many people have you met in your life that says they solved it- go ahead and ignore this as the rest in past year- when the total economy fails- dont be puzzled as you did nothing- pressure a university to investigate and repeat- i dont want your money-take your energy and help solve the energy crisis
CALL and or write to princeton for example and encourage them to discharge a tesla coil into heavy water as per my freely disclosed papers and videos portray-the solution to the energy crisis is in your hands- it will take a third party- not the discoverer himself professing it- go ahead prove me right or wrong already- 19 months now as economy crumbles over energy and our soldiers battle for it- what will you do

I love how Christians make an argument from plurality (free exercise) to allow their idols to be installed in public spaces, but as soon as other groups claim the same right, it's suddenly not okay. Similarly, a dull sign with words on it is an abomination, yet going door to door, putting placards in peoples mail boxes, putting up giant LED signs beside major highways, and generally saturating our culture with threats of physical punishment and apocalyptic renderings of our national history, that's perfectly okay. Chipper!

Seperation of church and state = government neutrality, not government singling christians or atheists out. Concerning the display, let everyone including atheists display what they want. Same thing with prayer. Government shall not force people TO pray nor shall it force them NOT to pray. Government neutrality. I hope Im getting the idea accross.
by the way, I am a Christian.
Some Christians want a theocracy, some atheists want a secular state.
as for me I want neither. I want us all to peacefully coexist under the roof of a free republic. If I have to I might vote for Ron Paul just to give the govrernment the spanking it needs.
