One Final Word
My dear friend Michele slipped into eternity on Wednesday, February 1. She was a remarkable woman who left a legacy of faith, determination, and love. For three years she courageously battled the ovarian cancer that eventually robbed her of her life. A few days before she died, one of her docto

The rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated
My husband told me that there are rumors that I've died. I'm happy to report that I'm still very much alive. My cancer has gone to stage four but we are controlling it with chemo, the cancer numbers are currently in the normal range. I've stopped blogging to concentrate on my daughters and writing a

An update and a prayer request
Several people have asked about Michele's condition, and have promised to pray for her. On her behalf, I thank you for that. I spoke with her a little while ago, and she asked that I come here and tell you what's going on, and to ask you to pray for her. She isn't able to post here herself right

Rest in peace, Internet Monk.
A man known in the cyber world as The Internet Monk, has died. Michael Spencer lost his battle with cancer tonight.

The peace that passes all understanding, pt. 1
I'm coming out of my normal hiding place to make a few comments.
The internet is a strange place. It is often a wonderful place, a helpful place, a unifying place. But it is also alienating, cold, and is the perfect medium in which to depersonalize others.
Through it, I have seen people reach out

“Who beside Huckabee cares about what she wrote during the primaries?”
A better question would be, why did Mike bother to dignify her by addressing her ad hominem attacks? Is Mike self-involved? I don’t know, but giving Ann air time certainly gives room for her self-importance.

Better question– Who besides the intellectually lazy cares about what that hateful witch writes at all?
If Huckabee spent all his time going after Coultergeist over what she wrote during the primaries rather than letting her hawk her latest incoherent screed, he did the world a favor.

Ann Coulter is far, far more qualified to lead this country than Barack Obama. I wish she’d run for President.
Nah, just kidding. Not even I’m that crazy.
I thing it’s a little creepy that an ex governor even has a TV show. It’s seems like something Hugo Chavez would do.

Ann Coulter ROCKS!!!!!!!

Why would a Christian blogger affirm anything about Ann Coulter?

The funniest part is watching the right-wing nuts tear each other apart lately. On Friday, I heard some b-level right wing talk show host named Steve Malserg (or something) complaining about Sean Hannity keeping Ann Coulter off his show. He had tapes of Hannity saying he had exclusive agreements with Coulter’s people about things like that, blah blah blah.
Combine that with Michael Savage routinely declaring himself the king and making fun of Rush Limbaugh (calls him “Hush Bimbo”) and Bill O’Reilly (calls him “the leprechuan”).
I know you’re probably asking: Why am I listening?
Well, I’ve always been a Howard Stern fan and am convinced these people are just the same thing, shock jocks. They are entertaining with their nonsense and you can’t take them too seriously.

“these people are just the same thing, shock jocks”
Well, in all honesty, duh. I don’t think Hannity or Limbaugh make any pretense of being standard journalists. They are editorialsts and entertainers. Even though stern is a shock jock, the standard liberal mantra is that his broadcasts contain some relevant remarks. Same here.

Huckabee carries a personal vendetta against anyone who didn’t bow and scrape for him during the recent presidential primaries. He’s trying to re-write history so he can tip-toe through the Rose Garden in 2012. He isn’t presidential material.
Ms. Coulter was telling the truth about Mike Huckabee. Listen to him tell the Arkansas legislature they will have his PROFOUND THANKS if they send him a tax bill to sign, in whatever form it takes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_pLOC4krZI4

Huckabee seemed to be all about, I gotcha, Ann, I have been waiting a long time to talk to you about the primaries…She was there to promote her book. I call the actions by Huckabee, sabotage…Ann handled herself well, Huckabee was all about getting accolades because he wants no one to believe he is not a true conservative and will be on the stage again running in 2012…There are many links, videos, that show him raising taxes in Arkansas….Poor Mike, you can fool some of the people some of the time, but not all of the people all of the time….

Seriously?! Ya’ll must have been in the boat right along with Coulter for Mitt Romney to sit around and defend her over Mike like this. As a Christian and a conservative, I’ve got to agree with Michael’s question: “Why would a Christian blogger affirm anything about Ann Coulter?”
For some more even-handed reaction to the interview (and some more background regarding Coulter’s obsession with Romney), check out the following article:
Mike Huckabee Defends His Conservative Credentials Against Ann Coulter’s Attacks.
And by the way, Huckabee spent plenty of time graciously promoting Ann’s book later in the interview (right after the youtube clip cut off and they came back from break). Perhaps you (like Coulter) should put a little more effort into getting your facts straight, Mrs. McGinty.

This dialogue is entirely scripted and they are both poor actors.
posted January 13, 2009 at 12:19 pm
I do not think Huckabee could have handled that interview more masterfully. Clearly he had an agenda, but he clearly accomplished his obectives.
posted January 13, 2009 at 2:00 pm
I don’t see why Huckabee should be criticized for standing up for himself when she was making up lies about him. Why do you people give that Coulter creep a pass for lying and sheer nastiness? Her kind of conservatism doesn’t allow any room for compassion or even a fair argument with an opponent. Just stay in the nastiest possible attack mode and lash out blindly. What a psycho.

Let’s remember that this conversation was between two people who believe that the earth is only six thousand years old, that it had vegetation on it BEFORE the sun and moon even existed and that talking animals roamed the earth thousands of years ago. You’d hear more intelligent conversation between to first graders. This whole conversation was scripted word for word as are ALL interviews on Fixed News. Anybody who doesn’t know this is a very silly person.

Well this segement if you remeber was about the media treating political figures mainly (Palin) unfairly. Ann agreed it wasn’t right and the clip was played to point out some of Anns Hypo-critical ways. Right?
