It seems that my CA-125 number dropped from 148 to 20!!! My oncologist thinks that once my surgeon finds out the number is that low, he would probably be OK with me only having 6 chemo treatments instead of the...

Great news about the CA-125! I hope they can decide to spare you the extra chemo.

I hope and pray that the port issue is cleared up. DO be very careful to make sure the area is kept as clean and sterile as possible. Infections can often enter your system through those ports if they are not very carefully maintained.

Hope the reports continue to get better and better!

Good luck with the cancer treatment and I hope you continue to get good news.

My Mom had chemo last year for her cancer. The good news about the port is that when they finally removed it, it was easier to take out than put in.

Glad to hear the good news--and I will also pray that your port will remain free and clear and be made pain free.

I'm glad everything is looking good!

I remember the relief when the port was taken out - way easier than going in.

I just stumbled upon your site here and wanted to strongly advise you to boost your immune system during chemo. I, myself, would only choose chemo as a last resort - yet the doctors usually give chemo like they are antibiotics. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005 and I rejected all their scare tactics and instead used alternatives that improved my health. I never had surgery, radiation or chemo and the lump was proven to turn to scar tissue in about a year and a half. I still have the lump but I don't fear it now. I still am conscious of my health and avoid artificial chemicals in my food - that would include SPLENDA and all the so-called safe diet sweeteners. The only safe ones are Xylitol and Stevia or any other natural sweetener. I truly believe it was the toxic CRAP I was ingesting that contributed to it.

Best things you can do for your health during your treatment is to get as many RAW fruits and vegetables as you can tolerate, get a moderate amount of SUN and look into the Budwig Protocol - which is a combination of flax oil and cottage cheese blended that a German physicist claims will boost your health and cure cancers. She is now gone and lived to ripe old age of 90 something. Dr Johnanna Budwig.

And don't let your cancer doctors tell you antioxidants interfere with chemo. That is total BULLCRAP. Get the book Healing Cancer with Nutrition - it will be the best investment you have ever made in your health.

Correction: The book title is "Beating Cancer with Nutrition" by Patrick Quillan and no I am not related to nor do I benefit from the sale of this book.

Most cancer doctors have ZERO knowledge of nutrition which is maddening. They think WWI toxic mustard gas based drugs "cure" cancer. There is no curing of cancer in the conventional medical field. There is only poison, burn, cut and ALL of these things further burden your immune system which is why a lot of people have the cancer "come back" after "treatment". You have a MUCH better prognosis if you support your immune system during this so-called "treatment".

To me - chemo and radiation are like burning down your house to rid it of roaches. You get rid of roaches but you also have no house. Boosting your immune system is like hosing down your house with water so it doesn't burn. The cancer cells are not protected and cannot store antioxidants so in this way, you allow the poisons to target mostly the cancer cells.

Do you know Arlen Specter? Arlen Specter has served in the U.S. Government with distinction for decades. He was part of the Warren Commission, which investigated the assassination of John F Kennedy, and he's served as Senator for his home state of Pennsylvania for five terms – thirty years. Most of those thirty years were spent as a moderate Republican, but he has apparently had it, and has gone across the aisle. He didn't need a no fax cash advance to tempt him, he has been voicing his dissatisfaction with the Republican caucus for some time. President Obama has already given him a message of welcome. Now Democrats are closer to a filibuster proof senate. No installment loans will bring Arlen Specter back to the GOP.
