The rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated
My husband told me that there are rumors that I've died. I'm happy to report that I'm still very much alive. My cancer has gone to stage four but we are controlling it with chemo, the cancer numbers are currently in the normal range. I've stopped blogging to concentrate on my daughters and writing a

Rest in peace, Internet Monk.
A man known in the cyber world as The Internet Monk, has died. Michael Spencer lost his battle with cancer tonight.

All painkiller addictions are potentially fatal, but demerol is a nasty drug among them – highly addictive and not even all that useful for legitimate medical uses. If indeed it was an overdose, his death could have been prevented. A drug called Narcan will bring overdose victims out of respiratory depression in a minute or less. The stuff should be made available to people with a history of opiate addiction.

As a recovering addict, I am sad that Michael might have joined the thousands of people each year that die in active addiction. But there is help!

Kenneth is right. If it was a Demerol overdose, Narcan could have reversed the effects. This doctor is a quack!!
