CatechizeMe is a useful tool that helps you learn/memorize the Westminster Shorter and Larger Catechisms and the Heidelberg Catechism. It will be coming soon to the iPhone (they’re looking for beta testers) and they also have a Google widget which has a nice large font size so you’ll notice it on your home page (I put all three of them on my home page) so you’ll have no excuses for not knowing the Catechisms.

One Final Word
My dear friend Michele slipped into eternity on Wednesday, February 1.   She was a remarkable woman who left a legacy of faith, determination, and love. For three years she courageously battled the ovarian cancer that eventually robbed her of her life.  A few days before she died, one of her docto

The rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated
My husband told me that there are rumors that I've died. I'm happy to report that I'm still very much alive. My cancer has gone to stage four but we are controlling it with chemo, the cancer numbers are currently in the normal range. I've stopped blogging to concentrate on my daughters and writing a

An update and a prayer request
Several people have asked about Michele's condition, and have promised to pray for her. On her behalf, I thank you for that. I spoke with her a little while ago, and she asked that I come here and tell you what's going on, and to ask you to pray for her. She isn't able to post here herself right

The peace that passes all understanding, pt. 1
I'm coming out of my normal hiding place to make a few comments. The internet is a strange place. It is often a wonderful place, a helpful place, a unifying place. But it is also alienating, cold, and is the perfect medium in which to depersonalize others. Through it, I have seen people reach out

Michele, Still waiting for the apology and/or retraction on the Obama is a “pig” comment for misleading your readers on the “Obama caught checking out a woman”. Nothing else you write will ever be legitiment or taken seriously until you do. You must address it!
As a Christian, we must live by higher standards and when we fail we must humble our ourselves. This will not go away until you do.

I wonder if all of that memorization includes anything about not bearing false witness. Or about paying attention to the meaning of the words that are memorized.

Your Name, if thou realizedest that Michelle is counted among the chosen of God, thou wouldst understand that she is blameless no matter she doth or saith, for God hath from the foundations of creation chosen her to be among the Elect, unlike you, a sinner who will be doomed to eternal life in Hell.
