Flesh-eating robots!

Tuesday July 14, 2009

Categories: Politics, Technology

This is even worse then anything on the Terminator! The military is creating steam-powered robots that would consume organic material (including dead bodies) as its source of fuel. Thus giving them even more incentive to wipe us out:

Robotic Technology Inc.'s Energetically Autonomous Tactical Robot -- that's right, "EATR" -- "can find, ingest, and extract energy from biomass in the environment (and other organically-based energy sources), as well as use conventional and alternative fuels (such as gasoline, heavy fuel, kerosene, diesel, propane, coal, cooking oil, and solar) when suitable," reads the company's Web site.
They say it will be benign and created to roam around on its own choosing its own fuel sources? Hmmm? I wouldn't trust it not to decide that it prefers human flesh.

It would seem the perfect weapon to use against an honor culture. Not only would they be faced with fighting souless machines, they would be eaten by them as well.
