I think this really tells you how much the left hates Sarah Palin (here's a screen shot before it was taken down). HuffPo took it down, which is commendable but you have question why anyone would think it was appropriate to knock her because she has a child with special needs. I didn't know that the left had taken to calling them "retards." How very un-PC!
Update: You can find the HuffPo statement here.
Updated again to link to the apology of the writer who didn't realize until he got an email that calling Down Syndrome children retards was offensive.

It's worth noting that the offending article was quickly removed from the Huffington Post. (Something Michele neglcted to point out.) Since most of its readership is comprised on people Michele describes as "lefties" one can only assume that so many of them found it disgusting that they forced its removal.
Whoops! My bad. I see now that Michele did add to her original article. I apologize for missing the newly added lines. I caught them just after posting.
Mea culpa.
But it does prove the point that "lefties" didn't approve of the article.
It should be pointed out that it was "lefties," myself included, who got it taken down so quickly. I would also point out that trying to score points against "the left" dishonestly is a crass exploitation of the very people you claim offense for.
I personally don't get what this has to do with liberals or conservatives. The way I see it the author is a mean spirited cruel person who really must think this way about people with special needs.
Nothing more. As the mom of a great kid with special needs, I find this kind of junk daily. Ben Stiller is a bigger offender but I don't know or care about his politics, just like I don't know or care about his religion. I just put him in the loser category, nothing more.
