Cut payments to cancer and heart doctors!!!! Oh no!!!! How will my oncologist keep up his third vacation home or buy a new Masserati? You can be assured doctors will cut their golf games short this Wednesday to have their assistants call their representatives in Congress.

Yet another blog entry without even a HINT of religious or theological understanding. There is PLENTY that could be said on both sides of the healthcare debate from a theological perspective. Clearly Ms. McGinty is unwilling or unable to do so. This blog needs to be taken off this site! Beliefnet has continued to not respond to this issue!

The ad that ABC and NBC Refuse to Air says we should not care whether the 50,000 without health insurance live or die. It says if you have health insurance don't give a damn about those without. The words are the words of the devil. Michele has not problem spreading the devil's words.

I did not play the video with Dick Morris's evil face. Morris was canned by Pres. Clinton. The man belongs in the category of Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann, and etc. that lie about the proposed health care for political reasons.

Health insurance cost is projected to increase 110% in the next 10 years if we do nothing. It is unbelievable that people cannot see they are only harming themselves and their neighbors by believing the fear tactics and lies from the Republican party.

AMA blasts RNC's health claim

The American Medical Association is the latest group to blast a Republican National Committee mailing that suggested the Obama administration would "ration" health care to discriminate against Republicans based on voter registration records.

The AMA put out the following statement late Thursday [h/t Brian Beutler]:

"Patients should rest assured that the health care legislation under consideration in the House does not ration medical care or discriminate based on political affiliation. The fact is that the House bill will expand coverage and prohibit denials for coverage based on pre-existing medical conditions. The AMA is working for all Americans to have affordable, quality health coverage so they can get the care they need."

Imagine that, networks which are concerned about their own credibility to the point that they won't air propaganda which is misleaading at best, outright lies at worst. Just because a network receives information, it is not required to air it, especially after factchecking proves the information to be false.....an ethical standard other networks might want to consider!

so glad to see other women who agree withour movement, we have longed for the federal government to pay for abortions, we have also realized since the second term of bill clinton how much money was being wasted each year on treatments that had no long term quality effect on the elderly with people in age groups who don't have insurance and are denied health care existing, finally we have some leaders in power who are not afraid to move this country forward, i like the one amindment that will allow for a 10k death benifit plan for families having the incompasitated put to rest this surley serves two fronts saves social security aid in cutting medicare expenses, and allows for funds to support the new health care plan, dont know if our leaders will get it adapte but it needs to be there this could help put billions in stimulus money on the front lines where it is needed most it also will save trillions on the social security program my family is at odds over this we dont discuss it and believe it or not my husband thinks it is wrong, well i as many other women in america manage our household bills, so i can see how reducing the elderly health care and long term life extension programs will help this country quicker than anything and i dont care it they have to use that so called nuclear option to get it passed the blue dogs will find out during the next election how fast other democrats will step up to the plate to take there place, we want change and we want it now, dont need to listen to any other party beliefs, millions need health care who could and would support our new society and be valuable to our country if given the chance, the elderly use up too much money and too much health care, i want social security and medicaid to exist when i reach 65 and when my time expires where i no longer have value and become a burden so be it want be a fuss. me an mine dont discuss this anymore as he already knows he gets hurt and cost this family money we get new laws and he burdens this house hold he will just be gone.

The reasoning in this TV ad is so infantile and selfish you would think that they would be embarrassed to try and sell this nonsense. They have no idea how the Medical people work, or how they set up appts. LOL.

The ad is great. That is why the liberal media is avoiding it.

Lisa, keep talking. I wish yu could get on tv to say these things. You are our best hope of stopping Obama. Carry on!

"The ad is great."

shows that you like the lies within.

"You are our best hope of stopping Obama."

again, your ODS is showing. you'd rather be against obama than be for fixing the problems with our health system.

anony,

YOU say they are lies. News flash: you saying so doesn't make it so.

Name even one lie in the ad...just one.

"again, your ODS is showing. you'd rather be against obama than be for fixing the problems with our health system."

ODS, funny. Is that the opposite of BDS? I'm not against O just to be against him, anymore than liberals were (and for some reason still are) against Bush just to be against him. I happen to be opposed to his policies. Liberals were/are against Bush because of his policies, right? Why must liberals knee-jerk and think we conservatives are just "against Obama" or cry "racist!?" Come on. Bring some intelligent comments to the debate.

"YOU say they are lies. News flash: you saying so doesn't make it so."

news flash: it's not just me saying so, pouty.

"ODS, funny. Is that the opposite of BDS? I'm not against O just to be against him"

opposite? only insomuch as obama is opposite of bush. and yeah, you are against him just to be against him. your own words give you away. you don't say "stop healthcare reform." you all cry "socialism," paint hitler mustaches on posters of him, and say "stop obama." yeah... that's your side bringing their level of intelligence to the "debate" (more like a yelling match).

i'd challenge you to do better than that, but i know you can't.

Hey anony, pouty here.

I repeat: Name even one lie in the ad...just one. Did you just forget to do that? Or, is it that you CAN'T? I understand if you can't, because there are no lies in the ad.

Next, my comments back to you in ALL CAPS for distinction:

"opposite? only insomuch as obama is opposite of bush. and yeah, you are against him just to be against him. your own words give you away. SHOW ME EXPLICITLY WHERE MY WORDS GIVE ME AWAY AS BEING AGAINST HIM JUST TO BE AGAINST HIM. YOU LIBERALS LOVE TO THROW AROUND ACCUSATIONS BUT YOU RARELY CAN BACK THEM UP WITH PROOF. TRUTH IS YOU CANNOT PROVE WHAT YOU JUST STATED!

you don't say "stop healthcare reform." I SAY STOP THIS HEALTHCARE REFORM.

you all cry "socialism," paint hitler mustaches on posters of him, and say "stop obama." yeah... that's your side bringing their level of intelligence to the "debate" (more like a yelling match). WE DON'T ALL CRY "SOCIALISM." SOME DO. I DO SAY THAT HIS POLICIES ARE SOCIALISTIC. THE HITLER THING IS A RUSE. YES THERE HAVE BEEN A FEW INSTANCES OF THIS, BUT BUT AGAIN, YOU SAY I DO THAT AND I HAVE NOT. IN FACT IN GEORGIA, IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT ONE THAT WAS PAINTED ON A DEM'S OFFICE SIGN WAS ACTUALLY PUT THERE BY A DEM ACTIVIST TO TRY AND SWAY PUBLIC OPINION AGAINST CONSERVATIVES!

i'd challenge you to do better than that, but i know you can't. NICE TRY. YOU CONTINUE TO THINK THAT HURLING CHILDISH PHRASES AT ME REALLY MATTERS. IS THAT AN EXAMPLE OF YOUR "level of intelligence" BEING BROUGHT TO THE DEBATE?

And again, "Name even one lie in the ad...just one."

"Name even one lie in the ad...just one. Did you just forget to do that? Or, is it that you CAN'T? I understand if you can't, because there are no lies in the ad."

actually, i was hoping that you were mature enough do the research on your own. guess that i hoped for too much, huh?

okay, you asked for me to list the lies in the ad. you remain oblivious to facts, as identified by 2 independent groups, and listed here more than once already. but ignoring the truth does not make these lies any more real.

the points made by dr. mark j. cuffe, m.d. in the lie-filled ad:
it will hurt our seniors
"senior scare" debunked by factcheck.org
www.factcheck.org/2009/08/more-senior-scare/
end medicare as we know it
"False: Medicare Benefits Will Be Slashed"
www.factcheck.org/2009/08/seven-falsehoods-about-health-care/
ration coverage and care
the implication that there would be any more rationing than what
is in private insurance plans is a lie debunked by politifact
www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2009/aug/25/howard-dean/rationing-health-care-reform/
www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2009/aug/25/john-boehner/boehner-says-study-effectiveness-medical-treatment/
www.factcheck.org/2009/08/twenty-six-lies-about-hr-3200/
limit life saving medicines, impose long delays on cancer treatement and other vital surgery. it's happening in england and in canada
neither britain nor canada are the models for current reform bills
www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2009/may/11/conservatives-patients-rights/health-board-stimulus-bill-not-meant-imitate-brita/
www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2009/aug/06/club-growth/club-growths-health-care-ad-campaign-misleading/
www.factcheck.org/2009/07/canadian-straw-man/
www.factcheck.org/2009/04/government-run-health-care/

there you have it, pouty. so, rather than parrot conservative lies, how about bringing some of that grown up discussion that you claim to have.

"YOU CONTINUE TO THINK THAT HURLING CHILDISH PHRASES AT ME REALLY MATTERS."

ditto. i'm just bringing it down to your level so that you might be able to comprehend.

on the flip-side, pouty, how about you prove the lies in ad to be true?

and along with that, how about giving us your proposal for reforming the broken, greed-driven system we have now? i'm sure i've asked this of you already, but you keep skirting it.

Anony, you’ve done some good googling here. Gotta give you credit for that.
But here is the thing. You liberals just have a hard time with any dissent to your ideas/plans. The ad is perfectly fine and in the course of political discourse is certainly within the mainstream. To call these lies is just to demonstrate your misunderstanding of how this all works.
Example: if I say that based on the House bill, that private insurance will virtually dry up and we’ll all end up on a gov’t option, that would not be a lie. That would be a reasonable expectation based on the facts at hand and a projection of likely outcomes. But in politics, to call that a lie is just naive.
But I understand your frustration. After all, you all completely lost the debate and fumbled this issue to the max. It has really made you guys mad. Your guy has bungled it and it frustrates you.
BTW, I found this interesting from the very first factcheck piece:
“We can’t resist noting that Democrats are getting a taste of their own medicine here. Late in the 2008 campaign, Republican presidential nominee John McCain’s advisers spoke of holding down the rise in future Medicare costs to pay for part of his health care proposals. Although a McCain aide was quoted as saying no cuts were being proposed in benefit levels, the Obama campaign ran two ads falsely accusing McCain of proposing benefit cuts. One said McCain’s plan "means a 22 percent cut in benefits. … Nursing home care could suffer and so could your choice of doctor." The other said seniors would "receive fewer services, and get lower quality care." We called Obama’s claims against McCain "bogus" and "false" and also an example of "Senior Scare."
Now that is really funny…”taste of their own medicine”
In your next post, “on the flip-side, pouty, how about you prove the lies in ad to be true?”. I would have to accept your premise that they’re false, which I do not. That, my friend, is not good logic on your part.
Last, you ask for my proposal. Well, I have not written one. But I read a very good idea the other day, written by a Dem. I am intrigued by it and am studying it. Read it here: http://www.theatlantic.com/doc/200909/health-care
