One Final Word
My dear friend Michele slipped into eternity on Wednesday, February 1. She was a remarkable woman who left a legacy of faith, determination, and love. For three years she courageously battled the ovarian cancer that eventually robbed her of her life. A few days before she died, one of her docto

The rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated
My husband told me that there are rumors that I've died. I'm happy to report that I'm still very much alive. My cancer has gone to stage four but we are controlling it with chemo, the cancer numbers are currently in the normal range. I've stopped blogging to concentrate on my daughters and writing a

An update and a prayer request
Several people have asked about Michele's condition, and have promised to pray for her. On her behalf, I thank you for that. I spoke with her a little while ago, and she asked that I come here and tell you what's going on, and to ask you to pray for her. She isn't able to post here herself right

The peace that passes all understanding, pt. 1
I'm coming out of my normal hiding place to make a few comments.
The internet is a strange place. It is often a wonderful place, a helpful place, a unifying place. But it is also alienating, cold, and is the perfect medium in which to depersonalize others.
Through it, I have seen people reach out

I totally agree with the denial. She showed no mercy and deserves none now re the legal system. I pray that she will seek the mercy of Almighty God who will be her ultimate Judge and if she does not, her incarceration will be a cake walk compared to the judgment of Almighty God!

Maybe she could request a transfer to Scotland. I hear murder is only a misdemeanor there these days. Of course it would help if the Atkins have significant oil resources.

She is one of the Manson followers who belongs in prison for life. That’s what “for life” means.

We lived these murders on TV and all the grusome details in 1969. Susan Tate and Roman Polanski’s baby would be 40 yrs. old if Susan Atkins had shown mercy. It’s fitting she was denied.

Sorry, should have said Sharon Tate, not Susan.

All that fuss over a b movie actress and a hairdresser. One wonders if normal folks had been murdered.

Maybe God will give Susan a second chance when she reaches Him.
Are you having a sick humor day? Who was the hairdresser that she killed? Never heard of a hairdresser, CC.

C Cosimano is correct.
Jay Sebring, one of the victims, was a hair stylist.

Thanks for reminding me about Jay Sebring, he was a popular stylist in Hollywood. I listened to Larry King talking to Kasabian, and Tate’s sister on his show tonight, and I forgot about the couple they killed the following night, also.

to Engine Warmer: Susan Atkins has already had her second chance when her death sentence was commuted to life in prison WITH chance of parole. If she truly has only a few months to live (and doctors don’t really know that), what’s wrong with her living them in prison? It’s only a few more months.
