One Final Word
My dear friend Michele slipped into eternity on Wednesday, February 1. She was a remarkable woman who left a legacy of faith, determination, and love. For three years she courageously battled the ovarian cancer that eventually robbed her of her life. A few days before she died, one of her docto

The rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated
My husband told me that there are rumors that I've died. I'm happy to report that I'm still very much alive. My cancer has gone to stage four but we are controlling it with chemo, the cancer numbers are currently in the normal range. I've stopped blogging to concentrate on my daughters and writing a

An update and a prayer request
Several people have asked about Michele's condition, and have promised to pray for her. On her behalf, I thank you for that. I spoke with her a little while ago, and she asked that I come here and tell you what's going on, and to ask you to pray for her. She isn't able to post here herself right

The peace that passes all understanding, pt. 1
I'm coming out of my normal hiding place to make a few comments.
The internet is a strange place. It is often a wonderful place, a helpful place, a unifying place. But it is also alienating, cold, and is the perfect medium in which to depersonalize others.
Through it, I have seen people reach out

Remember when mad artists threw paint onto an easel and called it art? Our legislators seem to be doing the same thing with health care.
Only blind believers in the theory of evolution think that good health care can spontaneously be generated from chaos!

Well, my “big government health care” system here in Canada has enough H1N1 vaccine and Tamiflu for every man, woman and child in this country. My tax dollars are invested, so I’ll get my regular flu shot and my H1N1 vaccine without any additional fee or co-payment.
One of my publicly owned local “DMV-style hospital” has a brand-new world class cardiac unit. My mother spent a few days there recently. We noted quite a few American patients on the ward. There were dozens of U.S. license plates on cars in the parking garage.
There’s a brand new Toyota factory a few miles down the highway. They were going to locate in the States, but came here because it costs too much to provide health care benefits to American workers.
You may want to learn something before producing such incredible rubbish for public consumption.

“Only blind believers in the theory of evolution”
i wonder how many people blindly believe in a supernatural god compared to how many blindly believe the theory of evolution.

http://WOW!
You are quite the snarky little Christian. I hope you don’t loose your health care, You look like you may make too much money for Medicare. I lost my sister to cancer last Aug. She worked a full time job for a Hardware store, they didn’t provide health care insurance. She made too much money for aid and U of M hospital wanted her to pay for her tests. She did, she charged it. Eventually she died, in debt…We had to take a collection to bury her. Your hatred for liberals has taken over your compassion for those that deserve your love and respect. My sister wasn’t poor enough to qualify for help. When she tried to get insurance she was denied because of her preexisting condition. Many of the people that can’t get help are working class people who have no insurance or are paying for insurance (only to find out that they are under insured).
It’s your brand of Christianity that would make Jesus cry.
