CNN: Who’s listening to talk radio?

posted by Susan Johnson | 7:20am Tuesday October 20, 2009

From the Obama approved network, CNN asks a psychiatrist, why do people listen to conservative talk shows like Rush Limbaugh? And of course the answer is predictable. If they really wanted an answer, they would only have to watch their news channel for a day and then listen to Rush. They’d notice that Rush has covered topics that they don’t. You get far more information from Rush than you do from watching the other networks combined (except for the days he goes off on a tangent like he is now over the NFL incident). And of course there is the entertainment factor.

BTW, the liberals do have access to a very popular radio station, NPR. And does CNN mention that? This slanted and insulting newscast is a great example of why people are listening to Rush and CNN’s ratings are in the toilet.

One Final Word
My dear friend Michele slipped into eternity on Wednesday, February 1.   She was a remarkable woman who left a legacy of faith, determination, and love. For three years she courageously battled the ovarian cancer that eventually robbed her of her life.  A few days before she died, one of her docto

The rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated
My husband told me that there are rumors that I've died. I'm happy to report that I'm still very much alive. My cancer has gone to stage four but we are controlling it with chemo, the cancer numbers are currently in the normal range. I've stopped blogging to concentrate on my daughters and writing a

An update and a prayer request
Several people have asked about Michele's condition, and have promised to pray for her. On her behalf, I thank you for that. I spoke with her a little while ago, and she asked that I come here and tell you what's going on, and to ask you to pray for her. She isn't able to post here herself right

The peace that passes all understanding, pt. 1
I'm coming out of my normal hiding place to make a few comments. The internet is a strange place. It is often a wonderful place, a helpful place, a unifying place. But it is also alienating, cold, and is the perfect medium in which to depersonalize others. Through it, I have seen people reach out

Sounds like you need to go back to middle school, Michele, and learn how to tell a news story from an opinion. Comparing CNN or NPR (mostly news, with some opinion pieces from varying people — much like a newspaper with news sections and editorial sections) to Rush Limbaugh (all opinions of one person) is like comparing apples to oranges. Rush doesn’t even pretend to be a news outlet — he knows he’s just an entertainer!
A good public middle school can teach you how to differentiate between news and opinion. Try asking for help at your local public school.

It seems to me that all the negative vibes this blowhard (Rush Hudson Limbaugh A.KA. Jeff Christie) has been spewing over these many years has come back to blow back on his face (A classic “Blow Back”). He always tries to give off the airs that he can have anything he wants but as we all witness those with more money and more influence tossed him aside like sack of potatoes and the ultimate insult was that it was done in public (money don’t buy you everything butterball).
Now of course he blames everyone else (Michael J. Fox, Perez Hilton, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Sonia Sotomayor, Hillary Clinton, Olympia Snowe, ESPN, NFL, the media, basically people of color, the handicapped, women and gays) when of course all you have to do is listen to his show and plainly hear his daily prejudices filled sermons. So NFL, I salute you decision, job well done. And to the whaling cry baby perched on his self made pedestal, quit your whining it was your own fault. You are reaping what he has sowed, KARMA, “Palin and simple” like his followers. Don’t we all feel better?

WOW! Paul. You have missed the point. This is not about you. Such anger. Well, I encourage you to keep looking for the truth. You seem to think you are on the right path. And, I pray you will find it….one day. The public school system has definitely worked on you…I’m sorry, for you.
