Wow! For someone who is “weak,” he certainly garnered quite a bit of air time on “Today.” Two segments! Here’s the first segment, the second airs tomorrow:

One Final Word
My dear friend Michele slipped into eternity on Wednesday, February 1.   She was a remarkable woman who left a legacy of faith, determination, and love. For three years she courageously battled the ovarian cancer that eventually robbed her of her life.  A few days before she died, one of her docto

The rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated
My husband told me that there are rumors that I've died. I'm happy to report that I'm still very much alive. My cancer has gone to stage four but we are controlling it with chemo, the cancer numbers are currently in the normal range. I've stopped blogging to concentrate on my daughters and writing a

An update and a prayer request
Several people have asked about Michele's condition, and have promised to pray for her. On her behalf, I thank you for that. I spoke with her a little while ago, and she asked that I come here and tell you what's going on, and to ask you to pray for her. She isn't able to post here herself right

Rest in peace, Internet Monk.
A man known in the cyber world as The Internet Monk, has died. Michael Spencer lost his battle with cancer tonight. My prayers go out for his family and for all those who loved and will miss him. :(

The peace that passes all understanding, pt. 1
I'm coming out of my normal hiding place to make a few comments. The internet is a strange place. It is often a wonderful place, a helpful place, a unifying place. But it is also alienating, cold, and is the perfect medium in which to depersonalize others. Through it, I have seen people reach out

Great interview of a great conservative voice. I just love the way liberals get so freaked out over him. And his millions just keep piling up. Lefties can’t stop talking about him. Way to go Rush. Mission accomplished!!

I saw most of the interview. I’m not a fan. Since I don’t know what is in Rush Limbaugh’s heart I’m not going to say that he is a racist. But, he certainly is a race-baiter, and he does play the race card almost as frequently as Al Sharpton.
I’m happy for him on a human level that he’s lost weight, but he needs to stop shouting and working himself up or he’s going to have a coronary. Seriously.

Limbaugh is a media Prostitute (not the word that suits him best – but this is a family site) – he will say anything for attention and money. That the TODAY show has granted him this much attention is sad, though I would expect it during the Kathy Lee portion.

jestrfyl said it best. If you think this is a “conservative voice” then you are foolishly naive. This is political rhetoric for profit, inflammatory for the sake of dollars. The sad thing is that so many people, both conservative and liberal, take the bait.

I know I sound like a one-note Sally in these comment threads, but it’s because Michelle keeps up with post after post that reflects a political orientation driven not by faith, but by ideology. There must be, at the very least, thousands of bloggers who would be more appropriate political writers for Beliefnet.

Hey, I just found this blog. I think it’s neat you’re talking about politics from a Reformed perspective. I’m not a fan of Rush, though.
