One Final Word
My dear friend Michele slipped into eternity on Wednesday, February 1. She was a remarkable woman who left a legacy of faith, determination, and love. For three years she courageously battled the ovarian cancer that eventually robbed her of her life. A few days before she died, one of her docto

The rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated
My husband told me that there are rumors that I've died. I'm happy to report that I'm still very much alive. My cancer has gone to stage four but we are controlling it with chemo, the cancer numbers are currently in the normal range. I've stopped blogging to concentrate on my daughters and writing a

An update and a prayer request
Several people have asked about Michele's condition, and have promised to pray for her. On her behalf, I thank you for that. I spoke with her a little while ago, and she asked that I come here and tell you what's going on, and to ask you to pray for her. She isn't able to post here herself right

The peace that passes all understanding, pt. 1
I'm coming out of my normal hiding place to make a few comments.
The internet is a strange place. It is often a wonderful place, a helpful place, a unifying place. But it is also alienating, cold, and is the perfect medium in which to depersonalize others.
Through it, I have seen people reach out

This is absolutely ridiculous. I highly doubt that one ultrasound really changed her mind in a complete 180. Ultrasounds are extremely common in our society, so I doubt it was the first she ha seen. Clearly she’d been having reservations about abortion before seeing this ultrasound.

changing it’s [sic] business model
I agree with Chall8987 that the article gives more than one reason for Johnson’s departure. If the mission of Planned Parenthood has changed due to economic challenges, well, Johnson is free to rethink her participation in that.
It’s a job, not indenture.

So many in this current culture have become so callused toward the respect for life. It is refreshing to see someone that followed their conscience, concerning abortion and the miracle of life. People will cheer for someone to jump from a bridge. Cowards will drive by in a vehicle and shoot someone for wearing the wrong color, or some other insane reason. People will walk by, as someone is being brutally beaten in the streets, and might even video tape it to show it on the internet for people’s sick thrill. A person will kill their entire family and themselves, because of a broken relationship, or a bad economic situation. Life is becoming more dishonored and less precious in a society that is moving at light speed as far as technological progress, but descending rapidly from moral absolutes.

I agree to the above comment. There is a time in life when everyone undergoes serious changes.

I changed my view on abortion when I saw the movie The Silent Scream.
And yes, almost all abortion advocates DO NOT see what is inside the woman. They (we), convince themselves to believe the lie that it is just a mass of cells and go on with our lives.
