Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.), the Democrats' chief deputy whip in the House, said that she and other pro-choice lawmakers would work to strip the amendment included in the House health bill that bars federal funding from going to subsidize abortions. Not surprising at all, I knew it when I read that the only liberal not to vote for the bill was Dennis Kucinich. You'd have to be a newbie to politics not to realize that the fix was in."I am confident that when it comes back from the conference committee that that language won't be there," Wasserman Schultz said during an appearance on MSNBC. "And I think we're all going to be working very hard, particularly the pro-choice members, to make sure that's the case."
If the press actually did their job, they would be asking the Blue Dogs what they plan to do when the amendment is stripped in committee.
BTW, pretty good question from Rep. Peter Roskam: If ObamaCare is so good, why does it come with handcuffs?

Oh Yes, the GOP.
They did nothing to help the health issues in this country other than allow the health insurance companies to go 'cart blanche' on the American people.
Now they're standing up and commenting on the Health Care Bill?
Sorry GOP, too late. You did nothing when you were in power to help the average American, it's too late.
The amendment will have to be modified. As it stands, it far overreaches, and prohibits private insurers from covering abortions. The liberals, the blue dogs and the senate moderates will figure something out.
