My dear friend Michele slipped into eternity on Wednesday, February 1.   She was a remarkable woman who left a legacy of faith, determination, and love. For three years she courageously battled the ovarian cancer that eventually robbed her of her life.  A few days before she died, one of her doctors told Michele that she was an incredibly strong and brave woman.  With great difficulty, Michele mouthed the words “It is the Lord.”  This was her story, this was her song.  She knew that her Savior was the source of all of her strength and blessings.

No guilt in life, no fear in death—
This is the pow’r of Christ in me;
From life’s first cry to final breath,
Jesus commands my destiny.
No pow’r of hell, no scheme of man,
Can ever pluck me from His hand;
Till He returns or calls me home—
Here in the pow’r of Christ I’ll stand.

Michele’s suffering has ended, and for that I am so thankful. Still, I will miss her for the rest of my life here, under the sun. Please keep her dear husband, daughters, and family in your prayers.

And thus ends this blog.  She was its driving force, hers was the vision and the passion for this medium.  I felt that it was only right to leave her readers with this final update.  Thank you.
