Obama caught checking out a woman

I'm a little disappointed that our president is a bit of a pig. I was hoping he wouldn't follow in Clinton's (or VItter's, Ensign's, Sanford's, etc.) footsteps. Hopefully he just likes to look but not touch. I wonder what Michelle thinks of her husband getting caught leering at a woman's tushie?

(via)

Update: Of course the Obama lapdogs are already defending the president against charges of leering. "Oh it was all so innocent when you watch the video. Sarkozy is obviously leering but the president was just watching his step." Sorry, but even watching the video, it looks like he's checking her out but he's being a little more discreet about it and with a woman like Michelle as his wife, I'm not surprised that he'd want to be discreet. She looks like she could beat him up (with those muscular arms everyone is raving about).

Congressional Democrats complaining about stimulus spending

How in the world does this statement make any sense:

@markknoller Administration is taking heat, even from Congressional Democrats, that stimulus money not being spent fast enough to create jobs.
I just love the way that they shift blame. We call the stimulus package, Obama's stimulus package because he got Congress to pass it but we all know the details belong to Congress. How can they complain that the money isn't being spent fast enough when they are the ones who created the timetable?

And BTW, this was criticism of the plan at the time. They're a little late getting a clue, huh?

Update: Here's Murtha passing the buck:

Murtha admitted that it's been several months since the package was approved and "we haven't seen any results." He said Rendell wants to make sure the money goes to the right place.

Murtha said he would not have created the stimulus package the way President Barack Obama designed it. He said he would have had more infrastructure projects in the package.

Maybe he should blame the committees instead:
"None of us have the time to read every bill," Murtha said. "We depend on the committee responsible for it."

Noticed this biography of Joe Biden and thought the lefties might be interested in it. I haven't watched it because I have a life. It may contain offensive material for all I know so you've been warned.

Bideon: Israel is a sovereign nation and can do "what's in their interest"

I wonder if the president will be walking back Biden's comment or is this the new policy? From "This Week with George Stephanopoulos"

BIDEN: Look, Israel can determine for itself -- it's a sovereign nation -- what's in their interest and what they decide to do relative to Iran and anyone else.

STEPHANOPOULOS: Whether we agree or not?

BIDEN: Whether we agree or not. They're entitled to do that. Any sovereign nation is entitled to do that. But there is no pressure from any nation that's going to alter our behavior as to how to proceed.

What we believe is in the national interest of the United States, which we, coincidentally, believe is also in the interest of Israel and the whole world. And so there are separate issues.

If the Netanyahu government decides to take a course of action different than the one being pursued now, that is their sovereign right to do that. That is not our choice.

STEPHANOPOULOS: But just to be clear here, if the Israelis decide Iran is an existential threat, they have to take out the nuclear program, militarily the United States will not stand in the way?

BIDEN: Look, we cannot dictate to another sovereign nation what they can and cannot do when they make a determination, if they make a determination that they're existentially threatened and their survival is threatened by another country.

STEPHANOPOULOS: You say we can't dictate, but we can, if we choose to, deny over-flight rights here in Iraq. We can stand in the way of a military strike.

BIDEN: I'm not going to speculate, George, on those issues, other than to say Israel has a right to determine what's in its interests, and we have a right and we will determine what's in our interests.

OK, a high ranking U.S. government official just gave Israel the green light to take out Iran's nukes. Do they take him up on it?

The big question is: Is this Biden's policy or Obama's?

And then there's this, it looks like the Saudis may be giving them the green light as well:

The head of Mossad, Israel's overseas intelligence service, has assured Benjamin Netanyahu, its prime minister, that Saudi Arabia would turn a blind eye to Israeli jets flying over the kingdom during any future raid on Iran's nuclear sites.

[...]

"The Saudis have tacitly agreed to the Israeli air force flying through their airspace on a mission which is supposed to be in the common interests of both Israel and Saudi Arabia," a diplomatic source said last week.

(via)

Updated to correct the wacked out spelling of Biden's name. I have no idea what's going with my brain and the spelling of names. I can't blame the chemo and I'm not taking any other drugs, so I guess it's just old age.

Happy Independence Day

I hope you all enjoy your day and celebrate it in whatever way you choose. Whether that's shopping like me and daughter #1 or going to a Tea Party like my husband and daughter #2. Or going to the beach (the weather looks a lot better today (actually I just went outside and it's cold!) than it did yesterday when we went, it rained until we got on the beach and then it stopped :-) or a backyard BBQ with friends and family.

Or whatever. I hope you enjoy it, I know I will. I'm just happy I live in a country where we have so much freedom, I pray that the left in DC doesn't mess that up.

Here's the website for the Tea Parties if you are interested.
