Dave Winer: "How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Fail Whale"

I'm so with Dave Winer on this one! There is very little listening happening on Twitter. I can barely keep up with the people I'm following, how can those who are following thousands do it? As to being a miniature TV network, not interested! The famous pastors have that covered :-)

Hugh Jackman stops play for ringing cell phone

How embarrassing for the person who left their cell phone on. I've forgotten to turn mine to vibrate a couple times when I was in seminary but only received one call. Very embarrassing. And usually I remember to put it on vibrate when in service. Once a cell phone wouldn't stop ringing in church during the service and my pastor stopped the sermon to request that someone answer it, as the ringing continued his wife comes hurrying down the aisle to the pocketbook she left on the front pew. We all burst out laughing over the expression on his face.

ESV Study Bible article: The Person of Christ

Here is an article from The ESV Study Bible on the doctrine of the person of Christ. It looks at these biblical aspects of the person of Christ:

1. Jesus Christ is fully and completely divine.
2. Jesus Christ is fully and completely human.
3. The divine and human natures of Christ are distinct.
4. The divine and human natures of Christ are completely united in one person.
It also looks at the heresies concerning Christ throughout church history. A nice overview.

I'm thinking about getting the Study Bible for my iTouch but can't decide between the buying it for the Kindle or buying a Bible app. I didn't like the Kindle version of the ESV. I'm betting I will have as much trouble navigating in the Study Bible as I did in the ESV.

"The Lost Symbol" by Dan Brown

You can pre-order the Kindle edition from Amazon for $9.99. They promise to send it "while you sleep," you'll get it in the morning of the 15th. Sounded like a good deal, so I decided to pre-order it. Even though Brown's theology is laughable, he does create an interesting read. You can also pre-order the hardcover for $16.17. They promise to send it out the "very day of publication."
