Can he really be 68? I’m a diehard, I admit – for the Rolling Stones – but mostly, for Mick Jagger. My life was changed when I saw them (and him) on 6/22/75 at Madison Square Garden – my first concert ever.
He has defined and redefined what the “front man” is and does. He has weathered the decades like the ageless, high wire trooper that he is. As a showman, he is untouchable – after all, for him, it has always been about “the show.” Forget all the other nonsense – when the lights go down, his mission has always been to simply give the audience their money’s worth – plus a little extra.
To the best – Happy Birthday, Mick Jagger – and thank you.
