Jim Webb as the antidote to Jeremiah Wright

Sunday June 22, 2008

The drumbeat for Jim Webb continues. Sunday's New York Times featured his photo as one of a prominent name mentioned as a potential vice presidential pick for Barack Obama. A story in the Wall Street Journal highlights the important role that the former Navy Secretary under Ronald Reagan is playing for the Democrats.

It's true that his main selling point is his military experience combined with his opposition to the Iraq war. But if I could summarize my long piece about Webb in two sentences it's this: the sleeper issue is Webb's opposition to broad-based affirmative action. As a Confederacy-friendly, affirmative action critic, Webb is the antidote to Jeremiah Wright.

Obviously you know nothing about history. While slavery was but just one factor in the War Between the State, let me remind you that the North's answer to slavery was to return all of them back to Africa.

So, using your faulty logic since you are the one who brought up the Confederacy...do you support slavery or the return of all blacks to Africa???
