For those who believe that God changes the weather to shape events, it might have seemed that He was favoring the Democrats when He ignored the prayer requests of those who beseeched him to rain on Barack Obama's Invesco field speech.
At first, religious progressives saw Hurricane Gustav as a second Democratic endorsement, forcing a delay in the convention and reminding the world of one of George W. Bush's greatest failures.
But no! As soon as I heard that Bush was cancelling his appearance at the convention, the Lord's mysterious ways became clear. I'm sure McCain really didn't want Bush to appear but couldn't be so unpatriotic as to not invite the president. Now McCain gets to have less Bush at the convention, without seeming rude.
He works in mysterious ways.

I'm sure this post is tongue-in-cheek, but unfortunately there are too many people who are going to try to read the weather like divine tea leaves. I very much doubt God times hurricanes to make political points either way. If he wanted to do something like that, he could just send a well aimed lightning bolt and avoid needless suffering.
*Expletive* Pffffft.
The religious right would quote scriptures. But since the sky was clear and sunny in Denver for **Barack Obama**. Truly he is the choice! McCain tried to steal Obama's thunder by leaking that he would be making his VP choice the next day after the DNC. Now the next day after he made that announcement he may not even have a RNC. So I guess it is safe to say, he himself has gotten his thunder stolen by forces of God and mother nature! **God those not like ugly, he shows us that thru karma**. At least on the news there's less McPain/Failin and we can focus on helping and being ready to assist those that may be affected by Gustav they are in my prayers. God Bless America!
God obviously has a wicked and ironic sense of humor.
