McCain, Obama, and The Anti-Christ — Assessing the Evidence

posted by swaldman

Much attention has been given the “celebrity” ad showing Obama alongside the paragons of ditzyness (Britney Speers and Paris Hilton). But some are arguing that it’s a second ad that will go down in the record books as an all time low – in part because it stokes fears that Obama is, literally, the anti-Christ.Here’s the web-based ad:Called “the One,” the ad implies that Obama has a Messiah complex. It begins with an announcer intoning, “And: It should be known that in 2008 the world will be blessed. They will call him: The One.” The ad then goes to snippets of Obama saying grandiose things – “A nation healed! A world repaired! We are the ones we’ve been waiting for” – and then declares: “And he has anointed himself ready to carry the burden of The One. To quote Barack, ‘I have become a symbol of America returning to our best traditions.’” It shows a movie clip of Moses (a.ka. Charleton Heston) parting the red seas, with an Obama presidential seal rising from the waves. The announcer intones: “and the world shall receive his blessings.”McCain supporters argue that it’s a playful ad that pokes at Obama’s sense of grandiosity. But liberal religious leaders see something far more ominous. The ads “seem to target Evangelical Christians in profoundly disturbing ways, using language and imagery that would have a special effect on Evangelicals… inspiring anxiety of the most primal spiritual form: fear of the Anti-christ,” wrote Brian McLaren, a leading progressive evangelical. That’s a strong charge. After all, the anti-christ is a profoundly evil character of the New Testament: generally thought to be a human, possessed by the devil or demonic spirit, he would be hailed as a savior by the masses and then rule the earth in ignominy, just prior to Jesus’s return. Let’s look at the evidence about the McCain ad.The first thing to understand is that long before this ad aired, the “question” of whether Obama is the anti-Christ, has been widely discussed in certain Christian circles in the last year.Hal Lindsey, author of the bestselling The Late Great Planet Earth, compared Obama’s positive reception overseas to what the anti-Christ can expect. “He will probably also stand in some European capital, addressing the people of the world and telling them that he is the one that they have been waiting for,” Lindsey wrote on the popular conservative website wnd.com. “And he can expect as wildly enthusiastic a greeting as Obama got in Berlin. The Bible calls that leader the Antichrist. And it seems apparent that the world is now ready to make his acquaintance.”Jerry Jenkins, co-author of the apocalyptic Left Behind series, reports that he’s gotten “a lot” of questions from concerned Christians wondering whether Obama is the anti-Christ. (Jenkins says no). The conservative website RedState.com sells t-shirts with horns popping out of an O and the headline “The Anti-Christ.” And a bumper sticker pairing Obama with the anti-Christ in the Left Behind series, Nicholas Carpathia.

antichrist t shirt.jpg

Talk radio host Brian Sussman asked on KFSO , “As I was watching that speech, I could have sworn he was running for Antichrist.” For those wanting to review the signs of Obama’s demonic tendencies, the website barackobmaantichrist.blogspot.com details the evidence. A reader posts on Yahoo Answers!” the question, “Is Barack obama the anti-Christ?” to which a reader responded, in thoughtful tones, “I am not 100% convinced it is him, but I think it is very likely. “Most important, emails have been making the rounds in Christian circles for months. A typical one:

“According to The Book of Revelations the anti-Christ is: The anti-Christ will be a man, in his 40′s, of MUSLIM descent, who will deceive the nations with persuasive language, and have a MASSIVE Christ-like appeal….the prophecy says that people will flock to him and he will promise false hope and world peace, and when he is in power, will destroy everything ..”

So that’s the environment into which the McCain ad was launched. Was the ad designed to fuel this sentiment? At a minimum, it clearly intended to show that Obama himself has a Messianic complex, a notion that has become a standard refrain in the conservative commentariat. McCain campaign manager refers now to Obama as “The One.” Rush Limbaugh calls him Lord Obama. Jonah Goldberg asks on the National Review Online whether Obama is the “Messiah in our Midst?” They have partly based these barbs on the rapturous reception that Obama has received from some of his supporters. That’s fair game. Some have offered giddy praise inviting parody. (Oprah comes to mind). However, the McCain campaign’s ad went much further, taking Obama’s words grotesquely out of context. For instance, the ad claimed that Obama said, “I have become a symbol of America returning to our best traditions.” This line supposedly came from a private meeting with Democrats, but witnesses have subsequently said that Obama’s actual words were: “It has become increasingly clear in my travel, the campaign — that the crowds, the enthusiasm, 200,000 people in Berlin, is not about me at all. It’s about America. I have just become a symbol. I have become a symbol of the possibility of America returning to our best traditions” There apparently was no transcript so neither side can prove it but, significantly, this latter version fits what Obama has said repeatedly in the past. After getting a rousing welcome from students in Virginia, he said, “This crowd is not about me. It’s about you. I’ve been a receptacle for your hopes and dreams.” Early in his campaign, he commented on how so many people had flocked to his campaign. “I do think that I’ve become a receptacle for a lot of other people’s issues that they need to work out.” He’s repeatedly described himself as a “flawed vessel” and said that the race “wasn’t about me.”Suggesting that a candidate thinks he’s God is a rather strong charge but some religious leaders argue that the McCain ad went even farther. The Eleison Group, a Democratic consultant operation specializing in reaching religious voters, published a detailed memo attempting show how the McCain ad uses language and imagery that seems suspiciously similar to that from the Left Behind series, which sold 70 million copies. (Click here for the full memo)The comparisons with Left Behind, and the general buzz about whether Obama is the anti-Christ prompted the authors of the Left Behind series to weigh in. “I can see by the language [Obama] uses why people think he could be the antichrist,” wrote Tim LaHaye, “but from my reading of scripture, he doesn’t meet the criteria,” adding that “perhaps this is overblown.” Significantly, though, co-author Jerry Jenkins told Beliefnet that questions from concerned Christians to him about whether Obama is the anti-Christ have tripled in the last two weeks, during the period when the ad started running. In that sense, whether the ad was designed to stoke fears of Obama as the anti-Christ or not, it has had that effect. So, the upshot: I’m not totally persuaded that the language and imagery in the ad was designed to specifically play off the Left Behind books. The bright yellow clouds seem vaguely similar to a Left Behind cover but mostly they just seem like the sort of standard clip-art one would use to evoke a deity. However, I do believe it’s likely that the McCain camp knew that an ad mocking Obama for having a Messianic complex would have explosive meaning and that they were aware of how much traction the Obama-as-anti-Christ idea had in some Christian circles. Time magazine’s Amy Sullivan reported that the ad was created by media guru Fred Davis who, she says, is “a close friend of former Christian Coalition head Ralph Reed.” My guess is that the McCain camp viewed the ad as a three-fer: some viewers would view it as a playful poke at Obama’s ego, showing McCain to have a sense of humor and Obama to be too full of himself. Other, more religious voters, would be downright offended by Obama’s Messianic complex, since, anti-christ aside, it’s offensive for anyone to think he’s God-like. And still other voters would view it as validation or reinforcement of the messages they’ve heard elsewhere that Obama is the anti-Christ.Reprinted from Political Perceptions, a political analysis area of The Wall Street Journal Online.

The book of “Revelation” does not relate the age, race or ethnicity of the Antichrist. It certainly does not say that he will be “Muslim” because that religion is younger than Christianity by a few hundred years.
The only thing it says in identifying the Antichrist is that he will come out of the North. The last time I checked, Hawaii is West of Judea and Kenya is South of it. So that tells me that Obama is NOT the Antichrist.
I beleive that the McCain campaign knew when they put this ad together it would raise a racial and ethnic response and that they wanted to create fear, outrage and smear Obama. This is typical of the Religious Right and its hate angenda.

McCain = Anti-Christ?
For background, see:
Jenkins concludes that … “[s]ince Obama wants to get out of Iraq, he can’t be the Antichrist[.]”
But John “Mihai” McCain, who wants to control Babylon for this century and beyond, surely could be “The One.” Why did John’s great-grandfather decide to change his name to something so WASPish sounding? I bet most people think McCain is Scotch-Irish, as did I until reading the above article … not Romanian.
Another couple of quick observations:
(1) “And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea[.]” – Revelation 13:1
Both McCain’s grandfather and father were Admirals, McCain attended the U.S. Naval Academy and served at sea in the Navy.
(2) “And I saw one of his heads [Ed. - faces? countenances? cheeks?] as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed[.]” – Revelation 13:3
“‘Along with his signature bright white hair, the most striking aspects of Senator John McCain’s physical appearance are his puffy left cheek and the scar that runs down the back of his neck,’ writes Lawrence K. Altman M.D. in Sunday’s Times. ‘The marks are cosmetic reminders of the melanoma surgery he underwent in August 2000.’” – NY Times ‘hits’ McCain over melanoma ‘secrecy’, by Ron Brynaert, March 8, 2008
(3) “… the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.” – Revelation 13:14
Could sword here mean the scalpel used to remove the deadly melanoma cancer?
——————————————-
In response to some criticisms of my prior post, reprinted above, criticizing several of my interpretive observations on literalist grounds:
Prophesies necessarily involve symbolic interpretation. The Biblical “beast” is also prophesied to have “seven heads and ten horns,” yet is almost universally assumed to be a man (as was Christ). I have never met a man with seven heads and ten horns, and if I ever had I doubt he would do well in political circles. So rest assured:
- I KNOW that a “head” is not literally synonymous with a “face.” (Though translation being inherently inexact, I cannot rule out that the original source word might have these other connotations as well).
- I KNOW that a sword is not literally identical to a scalpel.
- I KNOW that an aircraft pilot is associated most strongly with the sky, and not with the sea (though the association with the sea is nevertheless also strong in the case of carrier pilots).
But I also KNOW that to “rise up out of the sea” could very easily be a poetic allusion to an individual being born of a line of admirals.
Finally I NOTE that the family name “McCain,” chosen by the GOP candidate’s great-grandfather in lieu of the Romanian “Mihai” (meaning “like unto the Lord”) quite literally means “son of Cain.” (As in Cain, eldest son of Adam and Eve, who slew his younger brother Abel in Genesis 4: 1-16.)
As these things go, McCain sets off a LOT of alarm bells, and not just the ones I have noted in my short posts.

The case for Obama being “The Antichrist” (of Revelations, 1 John, 2 Thessolonians, Daniel) is compelling. The case that he is “Mabus” or the so-called “third” and final of Nostradamus’ Antichrists is equally strong: Obama’s full name can be calculated into the number 666; the apocalyptic phrase “abomination of desolation” can be characterized as an anagram in which all of the phrase’s 23 letters can be transposed into “I Obama, in at Sion, tool of end” (without adding, dropping or duplicating any of the 23 letters–”Sion” is an alternate spelling of “Zion” where Obama was in July 08 when he placed a “prayer scroll into the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem)
Obama’s full name can also be transmuted into Nostradamus’ “MABUS” anagram: 1st letter of 1st name (Barack) is “B”; 2nd and 3rd letter of middle name (Hussein) are “US”; 4th and 5th letters of last name (Obama) are “MA”=all of which equals “BUSMA” or “MABUS”. Additionally, a Comet, known as The Great Comet of 2007 (or McNaught Comet) appeared and reached it’s brightest phase while Obama announced for the Presidency (it qualified to some as Nostradamus’ Mabus Comet–augering the advent of the 3rd Antichrist). The Comet also, interestingly, came (visually) out of the Constellation “Ophiuchus” also known as “The Serpent Holder” and associated with Nostradamus’ 2012 Lost Book prophecies.

Right wing extremist fundamentalist have their own agenda and it is not the teachings of Christ. Christ is just a tool to them. They are against immigration, but preach the earth is the Lord’s — if the earth is the Lord’s, doesn’t that mean we should share it? They say we are stewards of the earth, yet elect people who do all they can to destroy the earth for profit; They say they are against abortion — but every major educational and social initiative that can help reduce unwanted pregnacies is opposed by them. They say they want to help the poor, yet they overwhelmingly support leaders who rape and exploit not only the poor but the middle class at every opportunity; They comfort each other in their little walled off enclaves and in their churches with high steeples, spew intolerance and hatred rendering the church impotent at reaching the hearts and minds of the people who need Christ’s message of love, truth, justice, acceptance and hope. Then they sell their messages for $39 a pop to support their million-dollar lifestyles. They fall back on the plan of salvation and appropriate it just for themselves, justifying all because they believe Jesus is the Messiah. KJV Matthew 8:11-12 (Jesus is talking) “And I say unto you. That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Issac, and Jacob. In the kingdom of heaven. But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” Matthew 8:21 (Jesus talking again) “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” My prayer is that these people will no longer represent the face of Christianity to our nation. Christ is so much better than this. They are the Anti-Christ, for they deny Jesus in their actions while proclaiming him with their falsehoods. Obama ’08

Here’s typical letter for you:
Dear Friends,
Our sister in Christ and favorite Mayor of Wassila, Sara Palin is now only one small step away from the Vice Presidency of the United States of America. In order to experience and enjoy the centrality of Christ in our congregational life, we have had many conversations here among the true believers about the meaning of the Book of Revelation and what the Bible, as the only inspired inerrant Word of God, authoritative for faith and practice, tells us about Barak Obama.
Is Obama the true Anti-Christ or is he just involved with the Anti-Christ? My question is very easy to answer. Does Obama not pull at the thousands? Does he not appeal to thousands? He has risen from seemingly no where, and yet many look up to him for all the answers because he speaks of world peace and prosperity. Is it possible he could stop the wars in the Middle East when they have been at war since the biblical period? Only the Anti-Christ could pull off something so miraculous.
This is what he would have you believe anyway: his miracles. He will not call them that today though, it is too early. He will not claim to be God until the end; he will not claim to do miracles until his followers are completely lost. By then, all but God’s children will have forgotten that he says he is no God and he does not perform miracles. He will create world peace until he believes he has conquered.
I am not surprised so many are desperate to protect Obama, for he will have many followers. He will re-unite all countries, which will become divided into ten parts, thus explaining the ten horns on the beast’s head, as proscribed in Revelation. The second beast will be his disciple, convincing many of His “Miracles”. Satan will not be in the Anti-Christ until the end but he will talk with him, saying to the man, that he alone is the true God. The Anti-Christ will speak in such a way that he will charm you, but all are lies which will not remain unseen. Revelation speaks about His coming, but in such a way you can not take at face value. You must look beyond the words into their meanings, and you will not see if you do not believe.
All believers know Revelation is some what a riddle and that deciphering is key. You can not go by the words alone. Intellect and rational thought will lead you to the devil! Follow the words of John the Baptist and recognize the truth revealed in Revelation 13:5 that the Anti-Christ will be given a “mouth speaking great things; a charismatic figure and moving speaker.” He is initially seen as a blessing to the world that unites it and brings it out of a period of great economic hardship and war. He will unite the country in a sustained effort to rally industry to embark on new technologies and brave new energy plans. Prosperity will again come to our land; the economy will support rich and poor. All Americans will have a taste of the fruit of the tree of prosperity and it will be sweet and filling and bring us great joy.
He will speak of world peace. A world wide event will bring the nations down (a bigger and more terrible stock market crash will affect the world because so many sinners have their hands in the pot of gold) and He will rise up and create peace between all for three years, more or less. Let it be known that it will end and the Anti-Christ’s true nature will appear. Many will not notice because they will already be lost in their own selfish hearts, counting their gold. They will curse the lord for their wealth and good fortune and turn to the Anti-Christ for guidance because they are blinded by him and unwilling to see the truth.
Many of you who are reading this will laugh at me and call me a fool. You will see these things come to pass and you will know the truth but you will still be lost because you are selfish, unwilling to believe what you cannot see. Many of you laugh now but will begin to believe when it is not too late. I will not try to convince anyone right now to believe because the Lord has a time and place for every one, He will let me know in my heart when it is time to recruit believers. He is in me now, speaking through me, to you, so that you will know what is to come, what you must do, how you must vote, and to tell you not all of you will join Him.

Whether one is “The Christ” or whether one is “The Antichrist” is ultimately and always dependent on faith and numbers. Faith–because these questions–just like does God exist or not?–always depend on whether one believes he exists or not. So–the existence of God, The Christ or The Antichrist, is not a scientific issue or question, and therefore never dependent on or subject to scientific proof and analysis. These questions are always a matter of faith–what one believes–and numbers–how many people share the belief?
Imagine for a moment if only 5 people on Earth had ever believed that Jesus of Nazareth was The Christ. We could then safely conclude that He was not The Christ. Jesus of Nazareth is The Christ-in large part– because countless millions of people have and do believe that He is The Christ. So–if for theological and religious purposes–enough people believe something to be true–then for theological and religious purposes it is true.
Consequently, if enough people in the future come to believe that Barack Obama is The Antichrist–then for religious and theological purposes–that is to say for all practical purposes–He will be The Antichrist. I will predict for all who hear that in the very near future–several millions of people shall come to believe that President Barack Obama is The Antichrist. When that moment in time arrives–He will indeed be The Antichrist. So–Prepare Yourself, Prepare Yourself, Prepare Yourself. The Day of God’s Great Tribulation is at Hand. The comment/letter supposedly from Pastor Kroon on Sept. 23 is fraudulent. As a fellow pastor at Wasilla Bible Church I can verify its fraudulent nature is completely contradictory to the spirit, tone, and thought processes of our senior pastor. Interestingly, I would point out that the letter was apparently written by someone who heard about us in the news and tried to write something based upon that to smear our church and indirectly Governor Palin. However, the person is apparently too lazy to at least learn how to spell either our town name or the Governor’s name correctly. This letter, while fraudulently claiming to be from Pastor Kroon is obviously written by someone unfamiliar with our town, likely unfamiliar with Alaska (as most Alaskans would probably spell “Wasilla” correctly), and unfamiliar with Governor Sarah Palin (as most Alaskans who are old enough to spell, whether or not they support her, know that Governor Palin spell her first name with an “h”). Just something I thought I’d point out as I just came across this blog today. This whole thing just goes to show that we should be careful about believing everything we see or hear on the internet or media simply because it’s out there for the masses.

There is so much controversy around O’Bama’s faith, even suggesting that someone who acknowledges and prays to God, is the ANTI-CHRIST, give me a break. For all the evangelicals who have let this election become a race issue, The focus should be “IS THE CANDIDATE GOD”S CHOICE” and not be led by someone else’s opinion, but by what GOD SAYS IN YOUR HEART. IN AMERICA, IT IS EVIDENT, that O’BAMA’s foe is the color of his skin, people are not willing to get past that. They see black skin, and have missed the fact that God can turn a man’s heart any way he so chooses, after all God is God. Why would I vote for someone named ‘hussein’ ? Didn’t we spend BILLIONS $$ killing a man named ‘hussein’ ?
I am a classroom teacher. We would not let someone teach our children if they only had 142 days of experience. Better yet, our teachers don’t ride the fence and vote “present”. And our teachers have always been “proud of the US” (m. obama).
Here’s the most amazing thing about a non-US citizen like B.O., he got Jesse and Sharpton to sit at the back of the Bus.
Obama ’08, Osama ’09, Anti-Christ in 3/12 years.

to woody: your line of thinking is just plain crazy. you’re saying that because there was a bad guy in the world named hussein we should not vote for someone with the name hussein? how many bad guys named john are there in the world?
and to everyone: being excited about a leader is NOT the same thing as worshiping a leader. people are excited because finally we have a chance to have a president who believes in the UNITED states of america, finally we have a chance to have a president who can think through complex issues, finally we have a chance to have a president who doesn’t see anyone other than a white anglo saxon protestant as an enemy, finally we have a chance to have a president who gives a rip about people outside the country club gates.
so are we not allowed to be excited about that candidate if we’re christians? are you saying that in order to be a true christian, we must reject anything positive in the world that we might otherwise get excited about, and instead, embrace the lying, cheating, warmongering candidate? did you ever think that maybe this whole “obama is the anti-christ” thing is actually satan’s trick to get you to vote for the candidates who are full of hatred?

I said it before (before I came to this blog) and I will say it again…
Whether the next president is the antichrist or just paving the way for him-there isn’t a whole lot that can be done. Ultimately, God did give man free will. In the end, His will is the one that counts.

Look…its simple…
I’m not saying for a hundred percent that Obama is the “anti-christ” but he upholds alot of the evidence…Vladimir Putin holds alot of evidence of being Gog from the land of Magog(Russia) who will ally with Persia(Iran) isn’t that funny?…The bible says that Magog and Persia will unite against Israel…these people support the facts, its a self fulfilling prophecy, He is socialist in nature…just like Vladimir Putin…he is allied with Persia(Iran) he sympathizes a time of peace, JUST LIKE THE ANTI CHRIST SAYS HE WILL. They are lies..deceptions…Obama is a messiah, he is the Leper Messiah, the false one, and he will bring forth a firm hand to help undo America, Europe, Asia, and most importantly…Israel…even the arrest of the two Aryans support this idea…where it says within the prophecy “And The Arayana will not be pleased therefore…” is it just coincidence? I think not, its God’s conscious telling you all to fight and stand firm and hold true, believer and non believer will unite against this true evil and will uphold the Sword of Righteousness and the Gavel of Justice, and the Hand of Vengeance, Gog may descend upon Israel all he wants, but Michel of Israel shall do as prophesied and “put hooks in the mouth of Gog” and drag his army south to Israel..and will destroy his nation in front of all as an example of his power

Siegfried,
The bible says a lot of things…any predictions come true recently? Do you disagree with Obama’s policies, or do you just dislike him because you think he might be the “anti-christ”? What if you are wrong and Obama does not ruin America and Putin does not help Iran destory Israel? Will your children, or children’s children, just use those same prophecies to make attacks on the politicians they don’t agree with, and so on…Are you sure that you don’t hold prejudice in your heart and are reading the bible to suit your ownn world view like so many in history have done?

First of all, I am Catholic, so I haven’t paid attention or seen any of the ads, web pages or other information that indicated anyone thought Obama was the Anti-Christ. I also do not believe in the Rapture, since it’s theology was formed in the 1800′s and there is no solid evidence in the Bible to support it. This is not to confuse the rapture with what scripture clearly supports as the resurrection.
But, I have heard Obama speak and I am a Republican. He can easily sway people and he is still so young and unexperienced that even I began to wonder if he was the Anti-Christ that scripture speaks of. After all, the anti-Christ is said to fool the elect…. he’s doing it. I wasn’t even looking for “end times” at all and I wondered. I am casting my vote for McCain. But, if Obama is elected, I will be watching carefully so I am not one of those who are fooled.
I would have to agree with the author of this blog, as he isn’t saying Obama is .. or isn’t for sure. All he is doing is presenting the evidence and disallowing some statements that are not true. I am not saying Obama is, but I won’t be responsible for putting him in office, just in case. I know his views on abortion and killing a live infant in what they refer to as partial abortion is just murder. Yet, who sees this? Murder is murder no matter how you look at it. I have seen quotes by some on scripture regarding that as well, which make no sense since we all know that “Thou shall not kill” is a commandment regardless of what else scripture depicts. The Bible is inspired, but somethings aren’t to be taken literal and we have grown since the era of when somethings happened in scripture. You don’t see people casting out demons when a person has epilepsy. We’ve gained some knowledge in the field of medicine on that. No one threw stones at me either when I have sinned.

If you consult with a jewish faith person they will tell you translating the bible was a very difficult process due to break downs in language barriers. People who want to know of the anti-christ should read 1John, and Revelations 13. Open your eyes people to the possibilities of what could be in front of you. Do you understand the amount of distain for human life it takes to kill an infant. This is a perfect soul who has no sin but born into sin, and then an evil person puts your bruised and dismantled body that would not be denied life into a closet so you could suffer from starvation or your lungs been severly damaged due to the suction vacum devise only left enough of your lung left to suffer for many hours. Are you getting a visual? Now put the face of your valuable family member on the infant and see how you feel now. Obama mother chose life and to be the loose woman that she was she didn’t add to her sin by murdering her unborn child. Seeings how the anti christ will be part of a jackel and the custumes in Kenya and other cities in the origin are animal rituals such as sex and that is how the aids epidemic was started. You may believe or not but the decissions you make now will effect your eternity are you sure you are on the right side. Prayer is a wonderful way to get that answer try it you will know the way the truth the light of the one God who gave us America!!!!

Back in 1979, my friends and I were convinced that the popular Ronald Wilson Reagan (6 letters per name!) was the Anti-Christ, especially when he managed to “fool the elect” – the so-called “Reagan Democrats.”
Now that the 2008 election is over, I think we can relax a bit. Not that many more people voted for Obama than voted for McCain, although it might have been a different story if Obama was white or even if he was referred to as “bi-racial” instead of African-American. So far, he hasn’t even come close to performing any of Charton Heston’s/Cecil B. DeMille’s “miracles” either.
The first time I heard that Jesus was “coming soon” was in 1954. By that time, there were already enough weapons that if there was a nuclear war, there would be “no flesh saved alive” without divine interference. A few of my contemporaries dropped out of school because there was no sense in preparing for a future that would never arrive. Most of them have been retired for several years now and sometimes wonder how things “might have been” if they had known that Jesus was in no hurry to begin his 1000-year reign. At least none of them was stupid enough to buy a generator when the calendar was going from 1999 to 2000.

__ I have no doubt that Obama is a horrible canidate. And most black people who voted for him, claim they arent racist. But when you vote for a person who you know isn’t a Christian (especially in a nation that the Supreme COurt had declared is a CHristian Nation see: ‘Holy Trinity vs United States’) , who you know is not PRO-life, who you know has promises which run contrary to the constitution, who supported Clinton dropping bombs on the CHRISTIAN SERBS in Kosovo, who supported McCain arming the KLA, then how can i not believe you are a racist? I know so many black people, who if Obama was a white guy, they never would have voted for a guy that was Pro-abortion, let alone all his other bad policies. ____The thing is, most people put loyalty to a political party and loyalty to race way ahead of loyalty to God.______I was sickened to find so many Christians also supporting McCain. There was anothjer choice, Chuck Baldwin. And even if there wasnt, vote anything else. Vote a rock you found on the ground for president.____McCain helped arm the KLA, which is a Radical Muslim group that many experts think may have a tie to al-Quaeda.______Obama never spoke aginst McCain for this. Heck, Bush rushed to recognize ALbanian control of Kosovo, before most other countries were ready to.____Obama, while he said he never recieved money from oil companies, was given alot of money from people who use to be former lobbyists for oil companies, employees of these corporations and such. Just lIke McCain and Bush.______Jesus said “What you do to the least of my brethren, you do also onto me.”____Well those Christians in Kosovo should fit into that. Yet We went and dropped bombs on them, then many CHristians turned around and voted McCain, who helped arm the KLA. ____I think people that voted McCain or Obama, got mezmorized by the media. Making the poor pay a higher percentage in tax is unconstitutional. And making the rich pay a higher percentage of tax is unconstitutional. Income tax is unconstitutional. Our founding Fathers understood this was bad cause it penalizes people who work. Businesses who start making alot of money, why penalize them? The poor, why make them subsidize rich people’s businesses? Both McCain and Obama took the wrong approach. They should just get rid of Income Tax altogether, and never tax businesses or people’s income. ____PLus building more government programs is NOT THE ANSWER. But both McCain and Obama want to do just that. Freedom is the answer. Our founding fathers said that Governments are made to protect the liberties and rights that GOD already gave to mankind. That is government’s only role. Not to feed you and clothe you. ____When you pray before you eat, you do what? You thank God, right? You dont thank Government. ____The socialism that McCain and Obama, Bush and Clinton, and almost all republicans and democrats propose, what it does is put Government in a God role. ____Our founding fathers put government in a servants role, who’s only job was to protect liberties and freedom God already gave us. That is it. ____

BTW, YOUR NAME, is me, Chris Lucas liquidsmoothdj@aol.com______Many people who are christians are forming together and making a pledge to never vote republican or democrat again. Unless maybe someone like Ron Paul runs and there is a consensus among us to vote for a Republican canidate. But I am part of a large group of people, who wont vote Republican ever again.____The thing is, most people get scared that a democrat will win if they vote 3rd party. But as you can see, Bush and McCain do just as bad or worse. Many of us believe the same people at the top control and fund both parties. ____What we have decided to do is just be stuborn and not be scared. See, lets say 65% of the people in this country are conservative. Considering not everyone in this country votes, maybe only 45% of those people show up at the poles. So that is why elections are so close between Democrats and republicans. If everyone who considers themself a conservative would have voted for McCain in this election, McCain would have had 55% to 60% of the votes. ____The strategy for our group is, to not give in to voting republican. And to grow. SO in future elections, you will have 40% Republican 15% thrid party, and maybe 45% of the voting crowd voting Democrat. As you can see, if the 15% that is conservative stays stubborn and wont be swayed to vote republican, the democrats will win every election.____See what our goal is, is to get the 40% to say “Look, we can ever get enough people to vote republican to win. Those people voting for (lets say’s) Constitution Party just wont change their vote. Maybe we should vote COnstitution Party so a conservative might actually win.”____All it takes is 15% of the conservatives to be stubborn. The Republican party either has to REALLY REALLY REALLY clean itself up, which wont happen, or else conservtaives need to drop out of the republican party and switch to a 3rd party if you want a prayer of getting a conservative in office.____

Is Obama the Antichrist?
In these days many are asking, what does the Bible say about the Antichrist, the Man of Lawlessness, and the Beast. Should we be concerned about any individual currently ascending to power on the world stage? Although my book Final Warning goes into much greater detail about the characteristics of the evil one, let it suffice that all Christians must be aware that one is coming who is beginning to fit this profile.
Beware of the one who comes as a type of messiah promising to save the world from its present crisis by speaking half truths and outrageous lies; one who promises world wide peace by sitting down with your enemies. Beware of the one, who promises universal health care for the whole person (both physical and psychological) with its hidden agenda of leading you to trust in psychology instead of trusting in God exclusively, which is idolatry. Furthermore, this allows the evil one and his established order to control your life. This control is precipitated by electronic record keeping and preventative health requirements that will mandate physical and psychological care if you wish to keep your benefits. Be wary of the one who voted for the bailout bill that gives government more involvement in the private sector and definitive control over millions of home loans. Tucked into this bill is a mental health provision that will ultimately give companies power over their employees by requiring that they get psychological counseling and drugs to improve their productivity. Be very careful of the one who promises to bring change to those living in the midst of fallen Babylon through his own strength and intellect.
Christian don’t be deceived, because Obama easily fits this profile. He is espousing a political rebellion against the so called established order and leading God’s children in open rebellion against Him. He does this by leading the world to put their trust in him or his new world religion to solve all their problems and meet their needs instead of trusting in God alone and His providential care. Obama openly nullifies the law of God by sanctioning same sex relationships and partial birth abortion – deserving the title “Man of Lawlessness.” Christian don’t be dismayed that the Republican party lost the election. Indeed it was easy to be fooled by the Republican Party and the audacity of talk radio claiming to be on the side of Christianity by rejecting homosexual unions and the freedom of choice. Clearly they only courted the Christian vote to further their own evil agenda of excessive greed and lust for power. Stop trusting in Obama or the Republican Party to bring about change. Real change is only possible through the transforming power of the Gospel which brings true healing to the whole man and his community.
If you have not done so already, let me encourage you to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Trust God to solve your problems and meet all of your needs. Then join me in spreading the word to flee Vanity Fair before it’s too late. Reach out to your fellow Christian and tell them to stop trusting in Government and the one who has come to lead the world astray. Challenge them to repent of their wickedness and turn back to Jesus Christ as the true Author of change.

Obama is not the Biblical Antichrist but he is a type of antichrist. the lord revealed to me that he is Satan’s 2nd puppet before the appearing of the real Antichrist. Here is real story:
(1). A nuclear attack on the USA (very soon) by the Russians will force Obama out of his way to continue running the government of the USA. He could be assassinated. The lord said bush is the last president years before. this could prove vital during this time as the USA is preparing to attack North Korea by sending a large troops amidst the chaosity of the economic turmoil. the lord also revealed that the USA will be taken over by the clintons. Clintons will walk side-by-side with the Antichrist in bringing the USA into the New World Order in 2010!
(2). The First Antichrist (Beast out of Seas) is a German-Arab descent leader, of the ‘R’- Rothschild wealthy family. He will appear from the Gulf. He is Clinton’s friend and will walk with him after the USA being attacked. He will broker mideast peace deal and solve iraqi war. he will then use the pope as ‘head’ to unite all religions under the pope. the pope will then be tramped to nothing and he will take over as ‘head’.
(2). The Second Antichrist (Beast out of Nations) is the Real Biblical Antichrist! He is a Syrian! the lord revealed that Satan will embody this man. he will succeed where the first beast has failed. this will carry great honor to himself. he will further deceive the jews by signs and wonders. he will promote the mark of the first beast, which is the one-world religion mark. after 6 months declearing himself ‘God of all Hosts’, jesus christ will descend to kill this beast.
(3). The biblical 7-year final tribulations will begin 2011 and end 2017. this is calculated based on 1948 + 70 = 2018 where Christ Milennium Reign will begin 2018. There will be 2 raptures. the first will take place right after the USA being attacked! the first rapture is for the ‘Faithful’, or ‘Pure of Heart’. or ‘Saints’ or First Fruits or the Wise Virgins.
