Good Bye
Today is my last day at Beliefnet (which I co-founded in 1999). The swirling emotions: sadness, relief, love, humility, pride, anxiety. But mostly deep, deep gratitude. How many people get to come up with an idea and have rich people invest money to make it a reality? How many people get to create

Secularizing the Cross (Christian Activists: Be Careful What You Wish For)
The Supreme Court heard oral arguments this week, in Buono v. Salazar, about whether a white 6 1/2 foot cross can be displayed in a national park as a tribute to World War I soldiers. Though it's depicted as a classic clash of the secular and the religious, it actually illustrates why Christian act

If McCain doesn’t even know what he owns how can we expect him to manage the Nation’s finances? He thinks he might own four but it may be even seven. he thinks rich is $5 million but himself is 20 times richer than that.
And he has the nerve to call Obama an elitist. Obama is rich, but he earner every cent of his wealth, He and Michelle worked for their money. McCain was born of a historically wealthy family and gas not earned a dime of his or his wife’s money.
And I saw the photos of his family plantation, it looks run down to me. Is that how he plans to run the country?

John McCain and his trophy wife own at least 7 homes.
John, however, only remembers 4.
But that’s not important. What’s important is that John McCain was a POW. That alone makes him supremely qualified to be president.

Being a POW qualifies McCain to be president? HOW?
The man is a ticking time bomb waiting to explode. Six years in a POW camp is a long time. Who knows how he was brainwashed and conditioned during his captivity. The fact that he does not behave the same as others who had that experience says something is not right. For all we know, he could be a “manchurian candidate” waiting for his moment. Who knows what national emergency will set him off and cause him to do something that will lead to our destruction. The man is unstable and dangerous.
The fact he was a POW in my opinion makes him UNSUITABLE to lead our country.
