Jason Alexander? Dave Stewart explains his new music video, My American Prayer, from here:Despite the prayer-ful imagery — or maybe because of it — I don’t think this is nearly as successful as Yes We Can. What do you think?

Good Bye
Today is my last day at Beliefnet (which I co-founded in 1999). The swirling emotions: sadness, relief, love, humility, pride, anxiety. But mostly deep, deep gratitude. How many people get to come up with an idea and have rich people invest money to make it a reality? How many people get to create

Secularizing the Cross (Christian Activists: Be Careful What You Wish For)
The Supreme Court heard oral arguments this week, in Buono v. Salazar, about whether a white 6 1/2 foot cross can be displayed in a national park as a tribute to World War I soldiers. Though it's depicted as a classic clash of the secular and the religious, it actually illustrates why Christian act

Both are powerful messages. Obama’s camp is wise to use the Yes We Can campaign and My American Prayer together to win the votes, minds and hearts of the Americans who have never voted before.
Ever since I first hear MLK speak, it has been my dream to see America stand for freedom without restrictions. My prayer has been for all Americans and not just the privileged.

Yes We Can, Yes We All Can make this a better world with less anger, less poverty, less war and more I am my brothers keeper, regardless of party or religious affiliation. Yes We Can, because as Barack Obama said in 2004 “There’s not a black America and white America and Latino America and Asian America; there’s the United States of America.” and “The pundits, the pundits like to slice and dice our country into red states and blue States: red states for Republicans, blue States for Democrats. But I’ve got news for them, too. We worship an awesome God in the blue states, and we don’t like federal agents poking around our libraries in the red states”

Catchy tune but looking at all this negative imagery makes US look like a horrible place. It is not! It is a great counrty for those who work hard, take advantage of educational opportunities that exist for everyone. You cannot sit on your a$$ looking for gov’t handouts!
Another example of brainwashing by Democrats and Obama camp! If you are greedy and bought a home you couldn’t afford, your a moron and deserve to go into foreclosure! Don’t blame Bush! Move to cuba where Castro will take care of you! You can sit on your ass and play dominos, not work and wait on line for a cheese sandwhich and a flu shot!

To the person who said this is a wonderful country for those who work and don’t sit on their a$$. Many work and get no where, and other don’t’ do much and have it easy. Many would work if they had the opportunity. Many are sick and can not take the stress of seeing their families’ struggle – this is not fair and life is not fair, but we can work to improve our lives and offer a helping hand to others less fortunate. For many, many, many years we, yes this country killed, and hurt the minds and bodies of our black brothers and sisters and still they worked and overcome. It is time we celebrate that a black man who is far superior to his Republican opponent has immerged. A man who is ready to lead us all to improve our country instead of turning a blind eye and ignore our problems. No one, no nation can improve, become a better person or country without looking at its problems and move to resolve them. Ignoring them and saying we are #1 is ignorant and a step backwards. Thank you Democrats for all the wonderful candidates that are willing to fight for our countries progress. What a beautify video, words and music.

in response to Cheryl Long post.
Just because a man is black does not make him eligible for the Presidency. Obama does not have the skills or experience to hold the office of the President Of The United States of America.
Obama’s platform is based on making people believe they are victims and that he is your savior. In his speeches he continues to tell people; “Its too hard living in America”…”it’s not fair”…”the man keeps you down”…”you can’t achieve anything”…..”you are lost without me (Obama = BIG government = more taxes)” If its so hard..how did he get to where he is…and his wife? Accomplishment is HARD WORK and if people are not willing to do the hard work…then don’t expect great rewards. NO ONE is entitled to ANYTHING, ANYWHERE. You have to earn it. Obama has convinced people they are worthless and unable to accomplish anything on their own….AND people are taking the bait..HOOK LINE AND SINKER! Obama is coached on what to say and has been from the begining.
and Cheryl…if it weren’t for American soldiers willing to put their lives on the line for this country, which includes you, YOU wouldn’t have the right to say jack squat. So if I were you..I would be thankful someone is not only willing to kill enemies for you..but to die themselves. AND Obama has NEVER been that person.

Even more than that of JFK, the campaign of RFK inspired a hope that together we could take another step toward fulfilling the promises of this country for everyone. For me, this video evokes those same feelings.
