Video and transcript of John McCain's appearance at the Saddleback Presidential candidate forum: Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5 TRANSCRIPT RICK WARREN, PASTOR, SADDLEBACK CHURCH: Welcome back to the "Saddleback Civil Forum on the Presidency." And...
Ok, First, I'm not a conspiracy nut, and second, I admit it, Obama kind of scares me. But having said that, it did feel "odd" watching Senator McCain's rapid fire responses at the forum.
I was very surprised when Senator McCain jumped on the education question before Rick Warren had even finished asking it. I was even more startled at the Senator's response about "going back" to the Supreme Court question, when it hadn't yet been asked.
I'd be interested in knowing how much of the questions the two participants knew in advance-- And the MSM seem to be giving different answers to that depending on who you listen to. Does anyone have a url for a substantive answer?
Senator John McCain was not in a “cone of silence” on Saturday night while his rival, Senator Barack Obama, was being interviewed at the Saddleback Church in California.
Members of the McCain campaign staff, who flew here Sunday from California, said Mr. McCain was in his motorcade on the way to the church as Mr. Obama was being interviewed by the Rev. Rick Warren, the author of the best-selling book “The Purpose Driven Life.”
The matter is of interest because Mr. McCain, who followed Mr. Obama’s hourlong appearance in the forum, was asked virtually the same questions as Mr. Obama. Mr. McCain’s performance was well received, raising speculation among some viewers, especially supporters of Mr. Obama, that he was not as isolated during the Obama interview as Mr. Warren implied.

We now see what these two Christians, REVEREND Rick Warren and CANDIDATE John McCain are...petty liars and manipulators. Cone of silence my butt...the only cone of silence is around the media for not blowing the walls off this house of cards.

well first of all the newyork times reporter is biased and you would know that if you knew all the facts which she left out of the article. Pastor Warren made it clear that the answers would be the same for both candidates...not virtually the same....the same. He also admited on CNN the day after the debate(the interview sited in the NYT article) that he wasn't sure McCain was sequestered but that he has faith in both candidates that they knew the rules and wouldn't go against them...He also made it clear that there were 2 questions that Obama was told before the interview that McCain did not get becuase he was still in transit. So if anyone had an advantage it was Obama and he still faltered. Obama stumbled badly (it's above my paygrade? really you mean he can't say when a baby has rights?) that is scary. and his campaign is trying to redirect so that the focus is not on how poorly he answered the questions. It's not like these questions were that unique...if you're running for president you better be prepared to answer questions about abortion, economy, energy, supreme court justices, world politics, faith, ability to lead, military action, evil, stem cells, GLBT issues. McCain is just that prepared and ready to lead.

Yet another conservative defends a liar. This is what modern conservatism has become...lies begatting lies.
McCain's own staff admitted that the Senator was not where he had agreed to be. The green room had been prepared as the de facto isolation area for the show. Both candidates agreed to this procedure in good faith.
God's Own Party comes before honesty and integrity with you folks. Disgusting. And you call this leadership? I call it yet another sign that the religion you portray is a farce, a tool for manipulating the people rather than a real way of life.
Machiavelli would be proud of your team, Peter.
