I have the same reaction.
The genius of it is how it displays how wide the world is and how beautiful its differences, while at the same showing how every people can come together for the sake of simple joy. And then the music tying all together is soaring and uplifting.
I watch it and think: we look through a glass darkly. This is a silly-and-simple-but-beautiful glimpse forward into a new Creation, the Kingdom of God.

As i was enthralled wit “So You Think You Can Dance” this summer as I am each summer, I was filled with the simple joy that what one man can do by just being a silly, happy lad.
Yes this also give my heart a rush and I think of David dancing in the temple. If we taught our children how to dance and watched as the children around the world joined in, maybe a riot of peace would break out.

It has a great innocence about it- we do not see a lot of that these days.
It does bring one to tears -perhaps it’s because if we were less fearful and more joyous the world could be so much better. Some of it is also a bit of jealousy that this young fellow gets to do all the traveling I wish I could do.
A wonderful video and very moving in its way.
