Those Crazy Pentecostal (Democrats)

Wednesday September 10, 2008

Those of you think Sarah Palin is dangerous because she belongs to that mysterious brand of Christianity known as Pentecostalism (i.e. one of the fastest growing denominations), might want take note of the fact that Leah Daughtry, the CEO of the Democratic National Convention and Joshua Dubois, Obama's faith outreach director, are both Pentecostals, too. (Hat tip to Adelle Banks at RNS).

"I'm going to quit dancing on the issue. Palin does not met the standards set by St Paul and St John to be a prophet."

Wow! that is ignorant!

Paul and John were Apostles, not prophets. Paul clearly identifies these as separate offices in I Corinthians.

If you have any documented evidence that Sarah Palin has claimed to be a prophetess, please post it. Otherwise, a little repentance (and confession, if so indicated) might be in order for bearing false witness...

Hmm, a candidate that speaks in languages that are not even human?

So I assume you do not claim to be Christian? I mean, since this was a common practice in the early church, you certainly would not want to follow the teachings of the apostles, right?

"She claimed to know the will of God for something that was clearly Human will..."

Can you provide documentation? I have not seen anything with Sarah saying she knows God's will. I have seen a video where she is asking a group to pray for the will of God in several human endeavors, including the war and a pipeline. But there is a big difference for asking for prayer for God's will and saying you know God's will.

Methinks you might be guilty of bearing false witness yourself...

RLB,

The YouTube in this post has Palin talking about it being God's Will that the pipeline get built.

All Pentacostals don't hold Hagee's end-times views. that is the difference.
