Many whites, male and over 65 voted for Obama because he was the right person to vote for. Not because he appealed to us as a black, or pro choice. He is our only hope in an age of fear and polarization.
Also many of us are tired of the smear campain of the far right. That is why the GOP lost more seats in Congress as well as the White House. If you want the job back, play fair! The fact that McCain/Palin lost Colorado should be a wake up cal for Dr.(Dread) Dobson.
One of the best facts above? The fact that Dobson's crew thought for themselves...and voted for Obama, thus Democratic. YEA!
Obama is also the first sitting senator to win the presidency since 1960, though of course McCain would have been, too.
