Thoughts

Tuesday November 4, 2008

Obama's speech was so different from Bush's or Clinton's when they won. He did not seem jubilant. He seemed touched, moved, somber and deeply humbled....

Obama was won Virginia, the Capitol of the Confederacy...

He's the first non-Southern Democrat to win the White House in 48 years....

The first non-Southern Democrat to win more than 50% of the vote since Franklin Roosevelt.

Also--and related to all of these facts--he's the first Democrat to really defeat the Southern Strategy that originated with Nixon.

I have been impressed with Obama for quite a while now. He is sincere and his approach to winning the election was somber. He will change our history for the better.

He is one of the very few elected presidents who did not go to Yale. He went to Harvard law school and Columbia University.

Well, this will shut up the "Skull and Bones Conspiracy" crowd for a few years.

And it is a great night for America.
