"Pray Obama Fails"

Tuesday January 27, 2009

Rush Limbaugh hopes Obama fails. Joseph Farah at WND.com isn't going to rely just on hope. He's calling on people to pray to God that Obama fails: "I want Obama to fail because his agenda is 100 percent at odds with God's."

He further explains, "Nowhere in the Bible does it teach us to obey evil rulers. Nowhere. This is a time for principled biblical resistance, not phony Christian appeasement."

In the Revised Standard Version of the Bible we read in the 4th Chapter of Luke 18th verse. "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord".
I see this as President Obama's theme song. His promises during the campaign as well as his actions in the first few weeks of his Presidency. He lived up to those promises and shows himself to be a person of integrity, uprightness, and fortitude. He is God's instrument in the world, whether he knows it or not. God chose him long before he became President. Let's pray God keeps him safe from the crazy's of this world.

Does Rush Limbaugh go to church? Is he a Christian? I doubt it.

I wonder how to get the word to Pres. Obama, that Ralph Nader would be an big asset to the country (and to the world)if he were to be chosen to be the CEO of General Motors.

I know this is a bit of an old thread, just came across it and had to point out to L. Carroll, PhD: you are no professor of rhetoric. The only argument you mobilized was your name(PhD) and saying you are a rhetoric professor. You used no other proof. Any rhetoric professor worth their salt could construct a better argument in a blind drunk.

P.S. I actually am a rhetoric professor; I guess that should mean something. Next time, spend that energy actually making a decent argument. I don't want you giving us a bad name.

This was an old thread four months ago. I do not see how anyone can argue with Rush Limbaugh or Joe Farah. I have not always prayed for Obama to fail, but I have prayed he will repent. Since HR 3200 has come out of committee, and Obama supports it, I am praying he will fail. This is a terrible attack on our Constitution. The purpose of the bill is not to provide a public option for healthcare insurance, it is to put private insurance companies out of business. Read pages 16-17. The section supposedly guaranteeing you can keep your health coverage actually makes it impossible for you to do it. The insurance cmopanies are not allowed to sell insurance to any new people. And the policy cannot be changed in any way. How would you like if the government passed a law to take over your industry? This is a fundamental violation of our freedoms.
