We used to toss a handful of "Kosher" salt into our furnace to burn out the impurities that built up in the fuel jets. The large crystals and density burned long and hot enough to do the job. "Christian"/ Standard salt was too small and did not burn hot enough to do the trick. Now, as to what to make of the metaphysical implications, I don't know ~ but it does make you think.
Kosher salt is perfect for melting the snow off the driveway. It's all that hot air inside.
That story is just sad.
I thought we were supposed to *be* salt, not brand it.
