Father Cutie's (Non-Ironic) Video on How to Build a Happy Marriage

Thursday May 7, 2009

"One of the fundamental things for me would be honesty, transparency," he said, unironically, in this Preachers and Teachers video.

Yet another good reason for priests to be allowed to marry. Being married to the church somehow isn't exactly the same thing as a warm body beside you in bed at night!

Priests should be allowed to mary.this is the 21st century after all. And get rid of all those predators in the church.

A priest makes a solemn vow of his own free will to live celibately and chastely. The question isn't as much about whether or not priests should be allowed to marry. The problem is that only men who are able to keep vows faithfully should be allowed into the priesthood. This is something that many husbands can't even seem to do today. The problem isn't priestly celibacy--it is our modern society's inability to appreciate the meaning of a promise.
