If you have been wondering what the hottest music video out right now is, then feast your eyes on Rebecca Black’s “Friday.” It is a bit like Justin Bieber meets Ke$ha meets the worst thing that I have ever heard – and at least 7 million people have watched it.
I recognize that I’m not the target audience for this song, but I expect more from our next generation of leaders. This video was so soul crushing that I had to watch Glee to cleanse my listening palette – and that ridiculous plan actually worked.

She looks like a less attractive version of Wendy from the Wonder Years and sounds like Lea Michele in the episode of Glee where her voice is messed up due to a cold.

“Fun fun fun party party weekend” is basically a Kids Bop version of seeking nothing but a life a pleasure and ease with no concern for personal enrichment. It conditions kids to seek that lifestyle. Fortunately this is a poor version of an otherwise tempting message.

I consider social time on the weekends to be pretty enriching personally. I don’t think I like it as much as Rebecca Black does, but she clearly has more time on her hands to have fun weekends than I do.
