The Divine Hours of Lent

Easter Sunday - March 23, 2008

Sunday March 23, 2008

And so we cry out this morning, as our kind have cried for centuries on every Easter morning:

Christ has died.
Christ has risen
Christ will come again.

Alleluia! Alleluia! Alleluia!

Amen.

Phyllis:

I just want to thank you for your insights and stories over these past few weeks.

I am not a Christian but I decided that this year I'd explore Lent as an "outsider looking in" and reading your blog was a highlight of every day. I admit that when I didn't see a post first thing in the morning I'd obsessively check every half-hour or so until you posted.

In fact, I enjoyed your posts so much that I copied them all down into a Word file so that I would always have them.

Happy Easter! God bless.

Phyllis:

I am a seminary student in West Michigan. Our bookstore just got all your books in. I have been telling people at the seminary about you and encouraging them to buy your books. You are encouraging, challenging, and refreshingly progressive. Some of my friends from Mars Hill Bible Church in Grand Rapids told me about their time with you at the NPC. They said you were inspirational. After hearing what you shared with them (or what you wanted to share at the NPC) I was encouraged more. Thank you for being a woman who takes Jesus' command to love all seriously! You are inspiring. Thank you!

Jes
