God is kind, merciful, and generous. If He wasn’t, He would have let us perish in our own stew long ago and started over. As far as I can tell, God is still God, and is still on His throne, looking down on us and for us. He never promised that these things would not happen, but that His grace and mercy would be. He has bestowed His mercy on us all, except that many people simply refuse to accept it or acknowledge it. God will always be God, regardless.

Annette is addressing the bigger picture. Gay marriage and relationships are wrong…period. It is against the teachings of God. Remember Soddom and Gemorrah? To love one another is right but not of the flesh or as man and man or woman and woman but as man and wife. There is a reason for everything that happens and the sad part is that the actions of some affect others. The ones that turn a blind eye to “keep the peace” and simply tolerate the abomination of homosexual relationships are just as guilty. Too many are scared of being labeled “homophobes” so they go along and defend the gay while the conflict of their actions burns inside. That is your conscious telling you you have done wrong in Gods eye. The whole issue of gay rights is not an equality issue , it is more so a slap in the face to those of us that have faith and simply know right from wrong. Why do we blame God when things go wrong? Problems is, too many of us think of God in human terms and because of this, we think that we can hold Him to human accountability. “Thou shalt not put the Lord your God to the test.” The baby found in the tsunami rubble; Gods mercy? You bet. The elderly woman found four days later still alive but trapped in her house. Gods mercy? Oh Yeah. These are just two that made the news. I’m sure that there are countless other examples of God’s mercy being revealed every minute and every hour of the day. We just choose not to notice. The out pouring of aid going to Japan. God’s mercy, moving humans to help. We think that we do this out of the goodness of our hearts, but it is God’s love in our hearts that moves us to be used to perform His will on earth. Where is God? He’s everywhere, just look around.

The earth is a gift from God, it is also a living planet and it is always trying to balance itself, whether it is air pressure, land masses or water levels. Don’t blame God for these changes.
Individual miracles happen when these changes take place and I believe that is the hand of God.

Even on water, we couldn’t move. I have always believed in God, but that day I saw him. I looked on the waters and saw his hand save us. The ship was built to list 24 degrees, but it listed 20. I realized that his grace was in the water, in the storms, and in the beauty of earth.
I survived and so did a lot of people, but some did not because God was ready for them.

It is true that in the end times, there will be many disasters, wars, and human suffering, and knowledge to man that will make him think he is god, and have no room for God. Also many false religions. With that said it is now wonder bad things happen frequently becuase our world hates Him and prefers their own false relgions and self. We kill unborn babies, we live Godless lives, we honor those who are homosexual, etc, etc.. God is a jealous God and will be the judge here on earth and in heaven. I can say that when 911 happened, He put people in place to save many lives. Many people did not go to work that day, many were late, many were safe because of certian people running security practices prior to this day, many were polic and fireman who risked their lives to save others. yes, God was there in the midst of turmoil. In any disaster he is there to offer comfort to His people/believers. He makes i rain and sunshine on beleivers and non beleivers. So too bas things will happen to beleivers and non beleivers. The difference is the beleivers are Saved, and God helps them through their difficult time. The believers help the world to be a better place, as they built the hospitals, and becam doctors/nurses,salvation army, red cross, etc.. Others followed and became like them, etc… So, don’t ask wher God is, ask where is Your Faith in Him…

Where is God when the earth shakes?
God is in the outstretched hand of a stranger offering a warm blanket, a bottle of water and a shoulder to lean on. God is found in the tears of a mother and child reunited after hours and perhaps days of seperation. God is the miracle of a survivor found under the rubble when all hope is lost. God holds the hand of a dying man breathing his last breath. God is love not condemnation because another may not believe as you do.

As imperfect beings, humans are quick to judge, to rail against the perceived “sins” of others who’s path we have not walked. We are quick to condemn those who don’t or won’t believe as we do. Is this really the God we wish to portray as believers? Not me.
So James, my God is a God of love. He loves me in spite of my faults and flaws. He loves me when I doubt and question. He loves me when my faith falters and I stumble. He loves me in the darkest of nights when I cannot comprehend why the earth shakes or floods or winds wipe out entire towns. And it is in His unconditional love that I find solace, strength and serenity. His love never fails.

In other words none of us will live forever. Four hundred times the Bible says the way to the Father is through Jesus and His blood. Most of us have insurance on our car whether we ever need to use it or not. Many people are resistant to take out “fire insurance”- asking Jesus to forgive them for their “missing the mark” (i.e their sins} and asking Jesus to come into their heart and be Lord of their lives, after thanking Him for dying on the cross to atone for their sins. This is the “Fire insurance” to prevent them from the fires of hell. God loves them too much to not have them live with Him for eternity! And you get to be best friends with and have an awesome relationship with the one who loved you so much he would rather die than live forever wthout you. This relationship will get more exciting and your life will get better as you get to know him.So say the above as p prayer.Now! You have nothing to lose but that empty feeling inside and the feeling that there is “something better.” But remember, “the end is near!” For all of us. Hope to see you in heaven!

Where is God? God is in the people to bring witness to the unbeliever, and natural disaster’s will continue to occur only because the moving of the Universe. The earth now is titled again because the plates continue to move. The earth is fiery warm, and people keep using fuels that ad to this fire that melts the ice. Perhaps it is the earth that is in a melt down.
Unfortunately people will die, and my prayers have been with all people.If you cannot be a part of a team at least support those who will get these little ones food, blankets, water. The plagues on Egypt to force them to release his people. The flood when Noah built the ark because All the people of the earth were wicked. There are many instances where God has commanded nature against man.

God is trying to spread the gospel everywhere and maby he needs to bring some to there knees in repentance. I don’t know that for sure its only cojecture but does God behave this way? Sometimes! He works in all our lives and testing is a way to see if we are genuine.
God has given some of us a new heart but he had to make us realize our faults and cause us to repent.
I would say to the japanese people we christians are praying for you and we send our heart felt sympathy for the loss of your loved ones and for your others losses. We also would say repent and believe in Jesus the christ of God who died for the sin of all mankind and shed his blood to give mankind a new and everlasting covenent or contract if you prefer. This is a contract of grace and mercy to all those who believe that Jesus is God’s son and are obedient and pleasing to God the father, who turn away from sin and toward God, to be spiritually born again!

The Lord speaks in the bible of the many sufferings and trials we will face throughtout our lives. However, He teaches us that in moments of deep frustration and pain, He will be there in every step of the way. He promises help and strength, he promises us his love and his wisdom, but most of all he promises to anyone who stands strong in faith when bad things happen, to walk ahead.
It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.

What do people want? Did not GOD attempt to gain atention when he shook CHRISTCHURCH !,Helloooooo!!, when no one answers or replies in prayer what would you do?,.. just say,.. “OH WELL, JUST FORGET IT” and turn and go away !, i don’t think so!, you would do the same thing he did, ..he got upset then lost his cool just like we would have done! , after all we are created in his image,right?

I know people cannot make sense of this disaster. What the devil himself does to innocent people will be healed by the Lord. God is good and never leaves us. God is a good god and he does not do all this. God is with each and every family that has lost a loved one in this terriable earthquake. He is a loving god and also his beloved son Jesus Christ and all the Angels that lifted all those to a safe place during this earthquake. The only thing I can say is god has a place for each and everyone of us and those familys who lost loved ones it wasn’t god who caused all this but he will be the one who will help each and every person who is missing there family get through this tough trying time. Us humans always wants to blame God. But if you all have faith in your loving God and our loving Jesus Christ know one would be asking where was God because you would all know that is never leaves oursides. It is us humans who turn are backs on him. God works miracles through humans also so God is around each time a boxs of food, clothing, and water are donated it comes from God and also any finacial help also comes from our caring loving God who has us humans do his work also. So everyone stop asking and just look around. God bless all.

Please stop making excuses for God! If God is indeed in control, He/She/It does not need our feeble explanations. The fact is nobody knows the answer. Saying that God suffers with us but can’t really do anything about a disaster is putting human limitations on God. Suffering is a mystery that cannot be explained. Live with it!

The Lord is a lamb and never leaves our sides. We have guardian angels protecting us and lighting our lives. Those people who died in the Tsunami are in the loving hands of the Lord, and ascended to Heaven. As long as you’re law-abiding and kind, you have a ticket to Heaven, regardless of your religion. The lord is the shepherd and defends us when we want to sin. No person on this Earth is responsible for natural disasters but the devil himself. No human being on Earth is the antichrist…the Lord will take us under his wing and guide us toward salvation. We must repent our sins and surrender to the loving grace of God in our times of need.

Wow, It has been my experience through my personal relationship with Jesus Christ, that we do get more than warnings from God…It’s that little voice inside that should keep you safe to lead a real Christain life…If we fail to adhere to the warnings and just go on like it was something else (evil spirit) telling us that it is ok, then one day…Bam, Boom, the whole world is suffering…You should have listen to the good!!! We all suffer the shame, we all suffer the guilt, we all try not to listen, leaving God our Heavenly Father to show that he is still in contol…

Silly Me…God is in us and God is with us…

Hi, Amen, to our God that is in control. OUr Lord Jesus Christ that died for us and left the Holly Spirit to live inside of us(that still small voice that speaks to us thru our insides. It is only human to question why these things of nature happen. Even Apostle Paul questioned why, not necessarily questioning God. If we did not question, alot of times we would not seek an answer. I look , I see, I hear, I remember. Christ came to save the Lost. Satan is her to steal kill and destroy. We must remember that Christ suffered for us more than we will ever suffer. These folks that are in trouble need us to help them , not to do so makes any one who says they are christian a lier. and the light of God is not in them. Stop judging and get to doing to others as you would have them do unto you. Feel mercy,and act in love. Love is a action word by the way. GOD so loved HE gave us His Son to spill His blood for all , but it is not hard to see that being a person of faith and a religious person are two different creatures.
